derrick thomas was fun to watch, i remember that one game where he sacked dave kreig 7 times and almost had an 8th on the final play in the game, but that last missed sack allowed kreig to throw the game winning td

other than steelers, DT was my favorite defender to watch (much more so than the NFC guys who dominated the era such as lott, white, singletary, LT or sanders).

i learned some cool stuff i never knew. his dad was a b-52 captain who was shot down and killed during a bombing mission in veit nam in 1972.

in the few weeks derrick lived after his crashed, basically as he laid there paralyzed on his death bed, he told coach cowher that he was going to heal and come play for him in pittsburgh. :tt02:

learned alot of cool stuff about archie manning as well. his dad shot himself at the beginning of archies junior season at ol miss (the season that thrust him into the national spotlight). he discovered the body and almost gave up college to work and help out his mom and sister.

i know its popular to hate the mannings, but what a great family.

i never understood the peyton manning hate. he's a great player and always been a class act.

i could understand chargers fans for thinking eli is a douche copter though

peyton's always been a whiner who couldnt close the deal. his hate isnt unjustified

I probably would've like Peyton if he didn't spend the majority of his career with the football team from Indianapolis.

Definitely one of the greatest QBs to ever play the game, but he will always be the face of the Indy Town-Skippers. Yes, I do see the irony in that last sentence.
