You should really try my home-brewed apple pie shine. But since I can't give you that, here's my gift to you.

Trying out the apple pie 'moonshine' the ol lady brought home from the liqueur store.which brand?

ive tried the Ol'Smokeys (100 proof), Junior Johnson's (100 proof), and some weak proof garage shit bought from some bikers in El Paso.

the recipe floating around sounds much better-

everclear, apple cider, apple juice, some brown sugar, and cinnoman sticks. im gonna make a batch for christmas.

She bought two kinds.

Midnight Moonshine which is gone already :chuckle:, pretty good stuff. Had a cinnamon stick in it.

Firefly Moonshine not near as good as the Midnight, no stick in it either.

yeah, the midnight moon is NASCAR's junior johnson's family brand and recipe.

being that he actually done time shining, and graduated from runnin shine and outrunnin the fuzz, to becoming a founding father of nascar, i figured it damn well better be good. They are honest too.

ive tried the cranberry and cherry as well. the jars with the fruit are actually larger to ensure you still get 1 liter of the shine. other companies just stuff a 1 liter jar with fruit.

the cherry with sprite and some fresh lime is a really good cherry lime ade.

whats strange is all the ones w/ fruit are 100 proof, where the straight up clear corn is just 80 proof.

That's the same recipe I use, Cheese. It's fucking great and easy to make. Remember to leave a stick of cinnamon in each jar and let it sit in your basement for 2 weeks before drinking for best results.

I've had some Ol' Smokey Blackberry Moonshine that was damned good, but I still prefer the home-brewed stuff. Cheaper too.

That ain't nothing. Try eating the fruit in habanero infused tequila! Holy hell!

I'm gonna try another batch here in a few weeks fresh from the garden. Next spring I'll try lemon cello.
