I might be there. My friends and I wanted to go up for 3 or 4 days. That seems like a nice little stretch.

I live in Dayton, but I may make the trip. I checked it out it is less than five hours, but the practices are only two hours......I might make it.

Here is the schedule.....

Yeah, im with ya, ive noticed my counts have started to rise again as well keeping them at bay; im telling ya, ever since BB2W showed us that bashing post on their site, they had alittle pow wow and nominated a few postwhores to come over here in some sick sadistic plan.. They most post in the blast furnace and not everyone goes in there.

We're gaining members at a good rate, especially from other teams from the nflfsa, but Im definately looking forward to more STeeler fans joining as the season gets closer.

Your not to far from downtown, thats always fun, Hard Rock Cafe at Station Square. Rolling Rock brewing company tour, is neat. There are a few restaurants in the area. I think a Ruby Tuesday or Applebees. The outdoor bar at four points hotel is a good time.

prosdo, the rolling rock town fair is the saturday before u are going if u can make that that would be cool. That is what my wife and i are planning.

Still have no idea what to expect at training camp any chance of meeting players or are we going to stand and watch. I don't want my wife to be like: that's all we came up here for? to watch these guys practice? Any chance to get posters or something and get them autographed?

When I went a few years ago I got some. On my website all the in-person football ones are from training camp (http://home.comcast.net/~sprosdo/footballsuccess.htm). The best ones I got up there were Jerome Bettis and Hines Ward during his rookie season. (Two of my all-time favorites) I know if you go to the night practice on the 10th (I think thats the date) they have some time before the practice to get some. I hope this helps you.

Autographs ? Yes. Pick the right spot. The Steelers mobile museum will be there, it free, with a chance to win a free prize.

I went a few years ago and will be attending the night practice again this year. When I went the players were spread out on the field. They would let the fans in and you would have some time to get whoever's autograph you wanted to get. The last time I went to the night practice I believe they scrimmaged.

Get there about one hour and a half before practice time.
Follow the sign to the autograph area.
They will stop you from going there until an hour and a 15 min. before practice begins. They always let everyone go at the same time. As soon as they get everyones attention, thye go over the no smoking on campus rules etc. Then they will say that your free to go. At this point its a run for the gates. When you get to the gates go threw and to the right corner. This is where the players walk out of the weight room to the practice field. They will see you first in this corner. You must get against the fence. Close to the walk way to get autographs.
Also to get Bens , you must ask a kid to get it. Thats his rules and he seems to stick to it. I lucked out because my wife does the Womens training camp yearly and Ben and Kimo were the two players they brought in to sign autos. Then I had my daughter get the football signed.

Good Luck, and have fun.

It depends who you go for. Like if you would go for Ben you may not get him at all. If you go for someone else you could probably get them. The last time I was at the night practice I got Greg Lloyd and someone else. I was lucky I was right by a gate and he was right there. I think they also signed when they were getting on the bus.

At camp there is no line for certain players, unless you go on autograph day.
Beleive me when I tell you, get there early.
When Security gives thee okay that camp is open, run like hell for where the players come out, follow the autographs signs.
Get a spot along the fenceon the walkway, if you go to fat down the fence , the players don`t come down there.
If you want Bens, get a kid to get it.
Have your Sharpie out and opened.

I just got back from the night practice...it was awesome. I got Bettis' autograph for my brother, which was exciting, and quite a few others. had a good view from the bleachers...Ben threw one (I'm pretty sure it was only one) interception during the scrimmage and seemed to overthrow several times during drills...Tommy was looking pretty good tho, only had a couple incompletes. Cobb was on fire, definitely should keep an eye on him.

I saw Heath Miller catch many balls at camp. He was the guy I was watching the most. I thought he looked great! I only saw him drop one ball and it was a bad pass, I also saw him make one tough catch on a ball thrown low and outside. It was a hard thrown pass from like 7 yards, and Heath showed really quick hands and picked it before it hit the turf. He almost always caught with his hands, and rarely lets the ball get to his pads. He will be a very reliable receiver, but I was just as impressed with his blocking. I heard he was not a good blocker but he looked fine to me. :twocents:

I also saw him lined up in the slot a couple times, and even playing Ward's "Z" where he goes into motion and stops at the end on the line and does a crack-back block to seal the outside for the runner. He was in motion a lot and got a bunch of plays where he was not in the 3-point stance, but up like a WR. This may be a sign that he will be used in the passing game..... I don't recall Tuman or Bruener doing too much motion, or slot.
