The thing I like about Kyle Van Noy is the fact he can also play ILB, so drafting him is basically killing 2 birds with 1 stone. But not sure he would be there in the 3rd.

I like R2 & R3.

I prefer Mox in R1, but if they are set with McClendon (eh), I guess that that would be alright, except that I would like to see what they have in Vince Williams.

Idea: Mosley has played OLB...

1.) Aaron Donald, DT/DE, PITT - To replace the bust named Ziggy Hood
(Hasean Clinton-Dix, FS, Alabama) - Would be immediately asked to start to replace Ryan Clark who is most likely gone.

2.) Allen Robinson, WR, Penn St. - To give Ben that Tall WR he needs.
(Marcus Roberson, CB, Florida) - Would be gradually worked in behind Gay and Allen, especially since Taylor may be gone, and as the season goes on may take over for Gay as the starter.

3.) Stanley Jean-Baptiste, CB, Nebraska - We need Secondary help and a 6 foot 3 corner with some skills should do the trick.
(Martavis Bryant, WR, Clemson) - 6 foot 4 with 4.3-4.4 speed.

4.) Terrence Brooks, FS, FSU - Would be gradually worked into becoming a future starter like Shamarko.
(Christian Jones, LB, FSU) - Atheltic backer with good instincts could be a great compliment to Timmons.

We don't have a 3rd so unless you plan on getting these players as comps....

It's a copycat league. I highly highly doubt Stanley Jean-Baptiste will be around with our 2nd or 3rd pick. I think after the combine he could be a late 1st or very early 2nd round pick. I think recreating what Seattle does on defense personnel wise is a sure fire way to bust on you picks.

Pete Carroll was interviewed and he even said that he's dreamed of and attempted to put together that kind of secondary his entire coaching career starting in the 1980's. He finally has it. The point is in almost three decades of coaching pro and college ball he failed a ton attempting to assemble it.

Why not select the technically sound, mature players who are surely going to be overlooked simply because they are not 6'1 or better with 35 inch long arms? My fav DB's in the draft are Jason Verrett from TCU (5'10 180) and Lamarcus Joyner of FSU (5'9 190) and I think EJ Gaines is immensely talented but will slip to the 4th because he is 5'10 190. I think CB should be addressed 2nd or 3rd rd same as WR. That's where the value will be.

We WILL have a 3rd round Comp for Mike Wallace. And a Minimum 5th round Comp for Keenan Lewis (Maybe a 4th with the way he performed).

1. CB Justin Gilbert Oklahoma State (TE Eric Ebron North Carolina)
2. WR Brandin Cooks Oregon State (OLB Kyle Van Noy BYU)
3. CB/S Lamarcus Joyner Florida State (CB Piere Desir Lindenwood)
4. OG Dakota Dozier Furman (ILB Andrew Jackson Western Kentucky)

Offense and defense on alternate picks. I like all these prospects a ton.

I'm getting all mocked out! I'm thinking maybe we should wait till after the combine to come up with new ones? Just a suggestion?

So then whomever you take should be a early 4th prospect not somebody that looks as if they'd go in the 2nd! :noidea:
