Ahhh..the 2004/05 playofffs.

Just puttin' this up so ya'll can remember how bad you fucked up in the playoffs...

Game 1. Jets 17 Squeelers 20

First of all, Doug Brien basically handed you guys the game to win...2 missed FG's. (Go Mike Nugent!!!!!!!!)

Ben's Stats:

4th rookie to ever go 15-1. (see...more luck than anything)

4th rookie to ever win 1st playoff start since 1970 merger. (again, more luck)

2 Ints- 1 returned by reggie tongue for an 80, yes 80 yard TD and 17-10 lead. The second was thrown with 1:58 left in the fourth. (such bad timing)

There were also poor Ben's gloves. He's worn gloves in 5 previous games and not had much of a problem but this time when he overthrew, threw off line...it was because of the gloves.

Other Squeeler screw-ups.

6 trips to the Jets 33 yard line, nothing.

Bettis makes his firstt fumble in 365 carries (something close to that anyway) with 14:19 left in the fourth on the Jets 22 yard line.

Santana Moss has a 75 yard punt return as well. He stomped on the Steelers' normally strong special teams, which allowed only one punt return longer than 10 yards in their last 11 games.

Steelers are 1-4 in AFC title games with Cowher and have lost all 4 AT HOME. 4th loss in 5 such games in 11 years.

Steelers won 6 SB's between '74 and '79, Last apperance they lost to Dallas in '95.

Quote from Big Ben:

"Maybe I should have been. I came out calm and relaxed and took it like a regular game," he said. "Maybe next week I need to be a little more stressed."

Hmmm...Sound's like someone needed to tell big ben what the playoffs are all about..they are far from a regular game. Rookie retardedness.

Game 2: Patriots 41 Squeelers 27

You guys screwed this one up good enough by yourselves. The Pats didn't have to help.

Big Ben screws up even worse this time.

THREE Ints this game (that makes 5 in two games..christ, ben is starting to sound a little like carson...)

Bettis AGAIN fumbles for the second week in a row on a 4th & 1 situation. (he got stuffed anyway)

Pats Accomlishments.

Brady - 14/21 for 201 yards, 2 TDs and 0 Ints

Brady had a 60 yard touchdown pass, it was the biggest TD the squeelers had given up all year.

Not much for the Pats game, they ripped you apart, your team sucked big time.

Wretched Mass is so jealous! His team never, ever makes the playoffs. So he lives in a fantasy world trying to hate Steeler fans.

WM Opposite attract! Thats why your here. Your team is a pathetic bunch of losers, year after year. And we usually make the playoffs.

WM you are a complete idiot and Bengal fans like you give them all a bad rep.
Hmmm...Sound's like someone needed to tell big ben what the playoffs are all about..they are far from a regular game. Rookie retardedness.
At least the Steelers know what the playoffs are all about...can't say the same about the Bengals...you are sitting here talking crap to us coming off consecutive 8-8 seasons. You guys were swept by us, your stadium was overtaken by Steeler fans (just like every year when the Steelers are in town), you finished 8-8, and once again NO playoffs...LIFE MUST BE GREAT, HUH??? I don't mind a little smack talk, but you are just a complete moron, and I have given you the benefint of the doubt...but you have not posted one thing yet that is backed up by facts and/or makes anyone think you have any idea about what you're talking about. Atleast the other Bengal fans from the Lair...seem to know about football and know when and where to start talking smack!!!!

Oh well, then why is he even talking shit?He has to use another team to talk shit...that's sad. We'll kick your teams ass twice this season...and if you guys even make the playoffs it's as a wild card and don't expect to go further than the second round.

All I keep hearing is Steeler fans saying the Pats can't do it, the Pats can't do it. And every season I see the Steelers not doing it, the Steelers not doing it, yet we end up with the rings. :D

On a serious note, Cowher has enjoyed a ridiculous run in Pitt. I like the guy, but how do you guys feel about him? In a league where the average span of a coach with a team is like 4 years or less, what is the situation with Cowher and Steelers fans? Just curious. I can't think of many more coaches who could do a better job, yet he has yet to win it all.

Personally,I love Cowher (as a coach, lol).I love his style of football (except for the 03 season of "Pass,Pass,Pass,Pass,Pass,Interception,Pass,Pass,Pa ss,Interception,Pass,Run").

Personally, I think the Pats will be very very very very hard pressed to get another lombardi trophy this year. I just dont see it happening..but I could be wrong, and if I am, I'll freely admit it next February..but at this point, I'd say your chances are greatly diminshed.

In all honesty I doubt the Pats will return this year. But I wouldn`t bank on it though. The last two years for the matter I would have thought from the begining of the season that they were the team to beat. And this year is no different, you have to beat the man to be the man. I do feel like we are finally ready to beat the man, but its still June, so see you in a few months.

Yep, if there was every a time. A time when we had it all the pieces in place, and most importantly, the right attitude and frame of mind, its now. Its up to Cowher and Co. to keep that chip on their shoulder nice n BIG !
