I'm not going to target any specific prospects but I'm just going to go ahead and say my way-too-early prediction for our 1st rounder next year is a TE. I don't think we invest a third straight pick in the front 7, I don't think the secondary is a huge priority as a result of said front 7, it will still be a year or two too early for a QB, and RB/WR seem pretty locked up. TE just strikes me as the position we'll focus on securing a really good, young prospect at to take over for Heath. I know many weren't a fan of his but I do think they did really seriously consider Eric Ebron with our 15th pick if he had fallen.

As a Clemson Fan this guy is a beast. If we dont re-sign Worilds I'd love for us to draft him but will most likely be a top 15 pick.

But last year at this time we had players like Louchiez Purifoy & potentially Jackson Jeffcoat going in round one of this years draft. A lot of things change over a year.

They'll be a guy who is projected to go in rounds 3-5 next year who'll wind up being a 1st round pick just like Khalil Mack who went 5th to the Raiders.

Randy Gregory DE/OLB Nebraska
Michael Bennet DT/DE OSU
Ifo Ekpre-Olumo CB Oregon
PJ Williams CB Florida
Dante Fowler JR DE/OLB FLA
Andrus Peat OT Stanford
Devonte Fields DE/OLB TCU
Shalique Calhoun OLB Michigan State
Leonard Williams DE USC

Some of my notables. No particular order.
Deep pass rushing class when you mix in Vic Beasley and a few others.

I agree, but it has to be a tight end that can also hold his own blocking in the running game. Heath doesn't, get enough credit for how good he blocks in the running game.

Can we celebrate the 7th trophy first?! Then we can worry about the 32nd pick in the 2015 draft. :)

Green Beckham is a beast.... But can't stay out of trouble, any word where he's going to end up playing?

We figured it out this year. Everyone just shut the fuck up about him. No mentioning his name ever. Then when we pick him out of nowhere everyone is like, "WHATTTTT????" :thumbsup:

Would love to see my guy Brandon Scherff in black and gold on the professional side of football but I think Scherff is probably going to be a Top 10 pick in the 2015 draft, and I don't see the Steelers taking an offensive lineman again. I'm going to guess we go with CB or TE.

Just for reference Scherff is a legend in the Iowa weight room. Here he is doing hang cleans... 493lb hang cleans.

If TE I wouldn't mind seeing Devin Funchess, TE out of Michigan. The guy is a freakish athlete and could come in and make an immediate impact as a receiving threat. Reminds me of Jordan Reed, and Julius Thomas.

If CB I like that Ifo Ekpre-Olomu kid as well as P.J. Williams out of Florida State.

Scherff is a favourite of mine outside of my usual Oregon crushes....

Also, this guy;

Not eligible for the 2015 draft but still one hell of a prospect ;

My early 2015 two round mock:

1. Devin Funchess, TE, Michigan- Heath is going to be 32. Time to find his future replacement.
2. Alex Carter, CB, Stanford- Do I need to explain?? Carter fits the bill as a Steeler corner. 6'0", physical & runs a 4.4

Ifo Ekpre-Olomu will be gone before our pick in the 1st round :(

Things will change alot. I don't focus on college players individually until after the season, but I'm thinking CB/OLB/OT is the primary considerations for the first round.

I like at OLB- Marcus Golden, Lorenzo Mauldin, Hauoli Kikaha\

At OT- Brandon Scherff, Spencer Drango, Daryl Williams

At CB- Trae Waynes, Marcus Peters, Josh Shaw

There is zero chance of this happening but Randy Gregory would looked great in the B&G

Zero chance, really dude? What if he gets injured/in trouble... what if all the teams we have yet to play keep getting better and we continue to stagnate? What if we finish 6-10 or 5-11? Considering how easy our schedule has been early on, we are 3-3 and trending down. Realistically, chances we win a superbowl are much closer to zero than our chances of securing a coveted player (based upon our performance so far). If we keep playing they way we've been playing, someone very valuable will be there when we're on the clock - there are just way too many variables both at the professional and collegiate levels to say there is zero chance of getting player x, y, or z.

Him getting hurt are in trouble is thinking too deep lol. We look bad at the moment but I doubt we'll be top 7 pick bad...

Hi there!
Among all of these players I prefer Dante Fowler JR DE/OLB FLA and I believe that He's the best!!
