4. Don't be fooled by Cincinnati's spectacular preseason. There are still significant problems in Bengals land.

Maybe Marvin should set up a court at the Bengals' practice facility, like the Eagles had at the Vet?I hope I'm wrong. I hope the problems in Cincy's cell block -- oops, I mean locker room -- don't undermine the good work Marvin Lewis has done. But I think they will, along with some major holes on Cincy's defense.

In an effort to take the focus off the police blotter, Lewis' Bengals outscored their exhibition opponents by a whopping 77 points and completed the unofficial season 4-0. Big deal.

The Bengals don't have a real playmaker in their front four. Teams will run on Cincinnati. The Bengals' linebacking corps is suspect. I've never been all that impressed with Cincy's corners. But Dexter Jackson and Madieu Williams are a major upgrade at safety. Laurel and Hardy played safety for Cincy last season.

I'm hardheaded. The Bengals have a shot at 6-10. (credit Jason Whitlock, ESPN)

Oooooooohhhh...that's gotta sting.
I love it.

Well, at least our starting quarterback is tough enough to be on the field, right?

CS, why don't you enlighten us with your diagnosis of Ben's appendectomy. Tell us the torrid tales of how long it took YOU to fully recover from your appendectomy, and how this affected your cross-country running.

I mean..that is your m.o. isn't it? To speak from a position of knowledge, and authority from all the injuries you've suffered. Hell, according to Dr. CS85, Ben's motorcycle accident wasn't life threatening at all...he merely "messed up his face" a bit, and Caution Palmer's twisted lil knee was far more life threatening, wasn't it?

It used to be that you used to be a worthy adversary, who could hold an intelligent debate backed up with facts and stats....now when you're backed into a corner, you pull the George Dubya tactic of flip-flopping...or you avoid the topic entirely. How sad.

Just like The Bengals.

He just has no intestinal fortitude, if he did he would have come out and said "I'm playing week 1 and nothing's gonna stop me god****it." It's obvious that he's nervous about playing and he's going to be scared on the field, always thinking about whether someone is going to hit him in another organ instead of concentrating on the play. I think it's time to fish or cut bait with Big Ben...he's had almost an entire week to rehab and the typical recovery time is only like 4-6 weeks, it's obvious he should be playing right now. Quite simply, Big Ben is soft. :blah: :blah: :blah: :blah:

Gee, that sounded familiar.

I didn't quote that. But I did say that Caution is a bitch.

C'mon Dr. CS, what's your diagnosis for an appendectomy? How long before you were running cross country, and how does that relate to grown-men playing a contact sport professionally? C'mon Dr., enlighten us!

"Flip Flop, Flip Flop, Flip Flop, Flip Flop"

It only stings if you value the opinion of Jason Whitlock.

Same thing holds true, if you value the opinion of Bengals fans and their proclamation that Caution is God.
