Being the superstitious creature of habit that I am..I should have know better...but I was playing PS2 before the Miami/Steelers game while wearing by #36 Steeler jersey. Of course I HAD to be Pittsburgh and and I beat Miami soundly.

The neurotic part of my being that had me wear the same Steeler t-shirt under a Steeler sweatshirt everygame last year has now raised its ugly head and convinced me that if I dont play Steelers Vs. Jacksonville before the game on Monday...the Wrath Of God will come down on our team.

This neurosis may be a family trait. My older brother who is a Cowboy fan (Ewwww) makes his wife leave before every game and go shopping because three times in a row when she sat down with him to watch the game, the cowboys lost..this is a good tradeoff for her...she hates football...loves shopping. (of course he has never explained why they lose when she is gone...but why let facts get in the way of a good mental illness).

All this being said..if I miss a PS2 game..and Pitt loses..I will take full responsibility. I have forwarded all this information to the Steelers organization..hoping to get a small piece of credit for their last win...but just got the regular .."thanks for the call...blah blah blah...dont call back...blah blah blah blah...order of protection...blah blah blah. So it appears that I am forced into a situation where all the blame is mine but none of the credit......so be it. I will take one for the team and continue to insure victory with my trusty Gaming system and paddle.

No thanks are needed

I have a complete set of clothes that I have to wear for games. Right down to my black Hanes. LOL!

I completely understand your dilemma.

I know the addiction well, LLT! I received a Steelers bracelet last year as a gift and have worn it for every Steelers game - they haven't lost a game yet since I've had it. :bouncy:

And I know that the gray sweats that I wore to every playoff game, under my Jersey and Steeler beads definitely had something to do with the win! :) I wore them for each playoff game and the Superbowl. I was so happy to wash them, I imagine my husband was happy I did too :)

I'm not superstitious. If that's the case the Steelers would win every week, all you would have to do is play PS2 before the game.

Last Thursday in homage to #7 I got in a bike accident. Then the Steelers won. Coincidence? I think not.

Luckily it was a bicycle, not a motorcycle and although I ruined the front rim and got pretty bad road-rash on my arm, I wasn't seriously injured.

But damn, this is going to be a painful season for me.

Just wondering....did anyone camp out in front of the E.R. in support of your traumatic experience?

...As much as I hate to admit it...I failed to finish my Steeler/Jaguar game.
I take full responsibility for the Monday night loss...and am fully willing to initiate the seppuku ritual upon forum reguest:sweating:

Seppuku?

I think the forum members should make you pay a little heavier penance than completing a simple number based logic puzzle. :wink02:
