:jawdrop: When the qb passes the ball to a receiver and say the receiver drops it ......is that counted against the qb? If so what is the reason?

It's the same reason when the receiver makes an outstanding catch it counts for the QB.

Football is the ultimate team sport, it takes all 11 to get your stats up.

Thank you, Larry. It seems like it shouldn't count against but your explanation was good. Rep to you!~

Yeah, once the QB throws it whatever happens is on him.

Even if a QB throws a perfect pass and the WR knocks it up into a defenders hands for an interception it counts against the QB.

Stats are based on tangible, objective (for the most part) performances. If they begin recording stats for subjective and stylistic (good fair bad pass) the game will turn into a big figure skating tournament. lol

So when Eli Manning throws a perfect strike only to have a phantom interference call help the Colts win does that ask or answer a question?

At least Lyn had an honest question.
