Hey everyone, I just wanted to find out who everyone thinks is the best RB in the NFL. I know it's not Steelers related, but I'm just wondering.

In my opinoin, the best RB in the league is LaDanian Tomlinson. To see why I think this, just take a look at his stats.

Career Stats
Rushing
1733 carries 7492 yards a career 4.3 ypcarry avg 73 rushing touchdowns.

Recieving
345 catches 2410 recieving yards a 7.0 ypcatch avg 8 recieving touchdowns.

Passing(yes he has passing stats, and decent ones at that)
5 of 7 106 yards passing for a 15.14 ypa attempt avg. 4 passing touchdowns.

Defensive
4 career tackles.

I know the defensive stats are irrevalant, but it's not everyday that you see a RB with tackles other than special teams guys.

If you add up the yards, he has 10,008 career yards, and if you add up the touchdowns, he has 85 career touchdowns (rushing, recieving, and passing combined). Also another note, he has only missed 1 career game.

Todays stats weren't added into the career stats. 19 carries, 71 yards rushing for 2 tds. 7 catches for 51 recieving yards. 0 for 1 passing. So that makes 87 career touchdowns.

If this topic annoys people who only want this site to be about the steelers, let me know and I will delete it. I was just wondering who other people thought were the bast back in the league.

Yeah. Its LT, a huge threat catching and running the ball (and the odd pass) on a team that has struggled during most of his career.

I agree with the consensus thus far - LT. By a landslide.

Echo this. How great would it be to see the Steelers keep him under 100? I'm guessing the Chargers are a little unhappy about last years outcome.

If LT doesn't break 100, Turner will on 2 or 3 runs. It always happens like that. :flap:

I would go with LJ, the man is a beast and has more upside, IMO.

Way to go and ruin the streak Stillers!!

But I think people will see this year that a lot of Larry Johnsons yard were from his offense live. LJ is still definatly a top 3 running back, but without that o-line he's not a number 1. But that's just my opinion.

Yeah I'm gonna be different. LT is great, but how can anyone ignore the stats this other guy put up...three consecutive Pro Bowl appearances. Rushed for over 1,150 yards in each of the last five seasons. As the most valuable player in the NFL he rushed for a league-high 1,880 yards and 27 touchdowns on 370 carries. He also caught 15 passes for 78 yards and one touchdown, scoring an NFL-record 28 touchdowns, setting a new single-season rushing touchdown record. In addition, he extended his NFL-record number of seasons with at least 15 touchdowns to five. During the season he became the Seahawks career leader in rushing yards (7,817) attempts (1,717) and 100-yard games (33). Yeah, you know who it is...Shaun Alexander.

Dude -- Reuben's the best -- didn't he whack one of his girlfriends? -- or was that the other guy before him on the browns?
