Hello all,

I need to know if anyone knows what hotel is good to stay at in the burgh?
I was there 3 times already and stayed at the Hilton but it is way to expensive to get a room right now.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

When we go, we usually stay at the Parkway Center Bestwestern in Greentree. It no too far from down down & reasonably priced.

Stay at the hotel in station square, I think its a Ramada, but I can't remember, I stayed there last time I was home after drinking all the beer the strip had to offer. Beautiful rooms

Use Hotels.com or another search engine for hotels in the downtown area. Especially if you can get something close to the Strip District.

I know for the scubs game this year, I'm paying $119 a night at the Convention Center (I believe that's the name of the hotel) near the point. But last year I was at the Marriot just about 3 miles from the Strip

Not to mention all the nice stores in Station Square, also several resturants within walking distance. Although I didn't know there was a Ramada there, I thought it was a Mariott. Of course is has been a couple of years since I was there.

I don't know with the game just 3 days away that you are going to find much in downtown Pittsburgh, hon, but good luck! If you are driving in, you may want to check the hotels/motels in Greentree which is a hop, skip and jump from Heinz Field. Less expensive too.

Thr Radisoon Greentree is 89 bucks and not that far from downtown.

Yeah but if your down at the Strip District the night before, that hop, skip, and a jump can land you in place that you won't be able to see the game (especially if there are road blocks).

Well, my friend - there's only one reasonable answer to that. Don't freakin' drink and drive! Forego the booze for a night, save some money by lodging outside of downtown Pittsburgh, wake up without a nasty hangover, drive down to Heinz with not a worry in the world, spend the extra money saved on the hotel and have a few beers, buy more Steelers gear and enjoy the hell out of the game! A very simple concept. :wink02:

We have stayed downtown a couple of times, but we prefer Cranberry, we also have friends from Wexford. When we do stay in Pittsburgh we stay at an inexpensive hotel and take cabs, with everyone putting in on it it is really not that expensive at all, not even close.

Bump that idea, half the fun of tailgating is still being drunk when you wake up, so you can do it all over again the day of the game.

Yeah but I only get to Da 'Burgh once a year. I relish in one stop on Saturday late morning/early afternoon stop at the Strip District (gotta get my grub on) and then preparing for a night out (it's my one weekend a year I can drink) before hitting the stadium on Sunday morning for a wee bit of the hair of the dog!
