Man - Bill is on fire in the post game conference on NFL Network

On the Logan taunting penalty - "was it selfish or stupid?" - "it was stupid and selfish"

On the celebration and taunting penalties - it will not happen again

"A lot of self-inflicted wounds"

The question is, since I think Cowher is gone after this year, can he still fire up the team?

I would bet it was Ed.B. from the P-G who asked Cowher in the press conference why Coclough was back on the punt after all Coclough's screw-ups- Cowher hemmed and hawed but I think Cowher knows that choice finally exploded on him

Well this isn't the first time that Colclough has proven to be terrible on kick and punt returns. I don't know why Cowher continues putting him back there. Where is Willie Reid? I thought we drafted this guy for a ****ing reason.

Cowher should fine Logan his whole weeks wages for giving away that penalty.

Seriously, it was the lamest piece of smack I have seen after laying out the long snapper who wasnt much more than a spectator anyway.

All players have bad plays, and maybe Colcough needs to be dropped from PR duties, but that penalty was just inexcusable.

It's a good thing that we're going into a bye week. They're all going to be walking funny for a few days after Bill rips all the new ones. :jawdrop:

I'm glad Bill's not my daddy.

Press: What's up with Ben?
Cowher: He'll be okay, rusty from off season, although he to needs to control his passes. Forced and overthrew to many!!

Press: Why not play Davenport along with Parker and stick with the run since it was working so good?
Cowher:We tried to get cute on a couple of long passes and it bit us in our arse.

Press:Why is Reid not dressing and returning punts?
Cowher: Because I've had my head up my @$$!

Press: Why is Coclough even on the team?
Cowher: That motherf@#$%^ cost us the game!!!!!!!! I know we should cut his worthless butt!!!!! He has pictures of me that I don't want to go public!:dang: :dang: :dang: :dang: :dang: :dang: :dang:

I Love Cowher and the BELOVED Steelers but come on guys get it together and stop giving games away!!!!!!!!

We all know the Bengals have some childish and seriously mentally changelled players like TJ Houshmandazeh, but how can we complain about their lack of class when our own guy takes out a longsnapper? That's almost as bad as taunting fans in my mind.

i don't think he can (the players will come together though and we'll be fine) he doesn't even have the fire. winning the superbowl is the worse thing that could've happened to him. he's satisfied and that's never a good thing in this busniess

I don't know, it makes them look retarded, though. I was watching the Seahawks-Giants game and saw Toomer celebrating after scoring a TD when they were down by 20 some odd points in the 4th quarter. I don't see the point.

It is all about self-celebration.

Detroit Free Press columnist Mitch Albom asked Detroit Lions WR Roy Williams why he celebrated a reception when the team was down by two scores. Williams said, "I celebrate first downs all the time. I'm not gonna stop that. I'm an exciting player. If I do something exciting, I'm gonna show my actions." After Albom informed Williams his team was down 10-0, Williams responded: "What does that mean? ... That means nothing to me. The score means nothing."

Good question Dan.

IMO there's something different about Cowher this year and I've noticed it since training camp and it's like he's there physically but at the same time he seems like he has a far away-detached presence about him.
The one thing that really surprises me is that after winning it all last year I thought he finally turned the corner and learned how to loosen-up, trust the players more and stop being so damn stubborn. WRONG!!
I don't care if Bill Cowher wants to retire at the end of the season but if he's going to coach like a Lame Duck he needs to step down now.
