Cowher may have figured out a way to keep dressing 5 safeties and still activate Willie Reid based on late breaking news of this "injury."

Steelers say Colclough has neck injury, is questionable
Tuesday, October 03, 2006

By Ed Bouchette, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Cornerback Ricardo Colclough, whose muffed punt in the fourth quarter helped the Bengals beat the Steelers in their last game, may not play in their next one.

Colclough has a mysterious neck injury that coach Bill Cowher said "surfaced" over the Steelers off week and was discovered only on Monday. He listed him as questionable today.

Coclough has been described as a crucial participant in the nickel pass defense coverage - sounds like we are about to find out how crucial if he sits Sunday night

Naw. He thought it was a hug, but it was really Cowher trying to choke him after that muffed punt.

Finally we may have the opportunity to see what Willie Reid can do.

I am actually really excited about this, although it sux that Colclough may actually be hurt. I want to see Reid return a punt or two in SD.

Hopefully, Ricardo's neck is not hurt too bad and this is just his way of casually putting Reid in. Regardless, I can't wait to see Fast Willie "2" return the punts.

As much as I would like to see Ricardo replaced I never want to see someone get hurt. Hopefuly he is ok and Reid will just do so good then Ricardo wont have to be used in the kickin' game anymore anyway. But I will be interested in seein' how Willie Reid does at nickel back...hmmmm
God Bless

He hurt his neck when the ball bounced off his face mask!!! :toofunny: I think it's a way to use Reid and not admit Colclough returning was a mistake.
