I've seen a bunch of poems around here posted by Steeler fans, so I thought i'd post one by a Charger fan.
Come Sunday night,
Under bright lights,
The Steelers visit to play.
But with LT,
and a dominating D,
The Chargers will have the last say.
They have Big Ben
And it's been a while since when
Pittsburgh has lost three in a row.
But there is no Bus
To pound on us
So their running game will be slowed.
It's pretty sad,
And might make them mad,
But Batch is their best QB.
The miss Plaxico,
And Randel El was let go,
So who will they throw to, you tell me?
Heath Miller, their tight end,
Is the favorite target for Big Ben,
But that doesn't scare me.
Over the middle,
Cue up the fiddle,
Because he'll get killed by Marlon McCree.
Pittsburgh's defense is tough,
And running could be rough,
But San Diego's offense won't relent.
The Chargers average 4.6 per rush,
But the stat that makes me gush
Is that Pittsburgh opposing QBs complete 61 percent.
Rivers will thrive,
And apparently keep Marty's job alive,
Because the Chargers will attack through the air.
Gates and McCardell
Will give the Stellers hell
And make Charger fans forget about McNair.
The game is on national TV
So everyone will see
These Chargers are the best.
I'm telling you,
When they wear the Baby Blues,
The Chargers will pass the test.
It will be a hard hitting affair,
But the Chargers will emerge no worse for the wear,
Fans in Pittsburgh, though, may be stunned.
Is it Palamalu's fault
The Chargers' aerial assault
Will make San Diego's record 4-1?
:jammin:
EDIT: Damn, screwed up the title.
