What did you all think of Davenport's performance in the Chargers game? I think he still looks solid with his run game and can/will will help us through our season

I think we didn't see enough of him.

Very true. Another Whisenblunder in the 2nd half.

He seemed the most physical player on the steelers side. They need to include him in the offense alot more and I think KC will be a good team to do it against.

I still think Parker lacks that hard hitting explosiveness in the middle. Davenport could add that. Here is the broken record part; Seems like the running game is looking for its identity now that Bettis is gone. Better find it fast.

I think they just wanted to test out davenport to see what he can do, I really hope they get him in the mix against the chiefs.

He is the best RB you guys have, sadly enough.

yeah we didn't see enough of him, and the times he did get the ball Hartings and Faneca nearly knocked him down as soon as he got it.

I think he could be the pounder we were looking for, hope the line gives him a chance this sunday.

I was impressed.. for the 3 or 4 times he touched the ball.. Neither one of our backs had a chance to shine and I thought Parker was a few carries away from bustin one.. But back to the pass we go.....Wiz better go back to the basics if he doesn't want his star qb to hear the boo birds.. I have a feeling it's more of the same if we don't revive our roots...

he had 0 yds on 2 carries, i dont think we have seen anything from him yet. over his career he has averaged almost 5 ypc. that is something to look foreward to.

Yeah I forgot your schedule includes the best defenses n the nfl. it is funny because you play in the NFC with the biggest threat of the Bears and they are the only team in the top 5 for total defense in the NFL from the NFC. Nice Work! Your running back, definately deserves to be heralded as a great running back but you better not speak tooo soon, cuz last time I checked he's got a broken bone and in his first 3 games he didnt look too awfully good.

week 1- detriot 19 carries for 51 yards
week 2 - arizona 26 carries for 89 yards
week 3 - NYG 20 carries for 47 yards

total 65 carries for 187 yards and 2 tds in three games with a 2.9 average.

So for your NFL MVP I would say I wouldnt be too worried about facing him. Keep up the good work!!!

He broke his foot in Detroit andhad been playing with a cracked bone since then. That is why he has had low numbers in the first 3 games. He will be back in MVP form Oct 22nd... mean while you guys should continue to play Davenport, he is a solid RB that should beable to complement willie parker.

Steelers must use Davenport more and everyone will see why we wanted him..
