Falcons fans talking trash Steeler fans is kind of like Devil Ray fans talking Trash to Yankee fans. Go look at our trophy case rednecks, you'll see 5 Lombardi Trophies in there. When you look at your trophy case, you see one NFL Championship Trophy.

You can't even fill your own stadium without help from the visiting team. Hell I wasn't sure if the game last weekend was being played in Atlanta or Pittsburgh with all the Terrible Towels :tt02: waving among the redneck masses.

So please, stop embarassing yourselves. Patriots fans might be obnoxious but at least they have reason to be. Your teams has done nothing to warrant even the slightest bit of trash talk from your mealy mouths. So STFU and come back when you've won something worth talking about.

PS: The title should read thing, not thins. It's been a long week.

Of all the things ATL could be considered, a redneck town is not one of them.

No, Atlanta is not a redneck town. But many people in Metro Atlanta are not Falcons fans. Kind of like the city of Phoenix, Atlanta is made up of people from all over the country many of whom retain their allegiance to their home town teams.

So what you're left with is a fan base located in large part outside of the Metro Atlanta area. And by the admission of many Georgians I have worked with, much of Northern Georgia is reneck territory.

What?? Atlanta's not a redneck town?? What about all those redneck's I see at Braves games?? What about all the fishin' shows they show on WTBS??? What about all the empty packs of Redman & Skoal that litter the parking lots of the ATL Wal-Marts??? What about all the pick-up trucks on cinder blocks in every front lawn in ATL??

If ATL aint a Redneck town, then Los Angeles aint a wetback town.

Hey guys,

Wlhile I relish any oppotunity to put a trash-talking troll in his place, I am not comfortable with the "redneck" stuff. I have lived in the South all of my life...and I agree we have our share of "bubbas," not everybody is as backwater as you might think. I have a lot of family and acquaintances in ATL, and I can attest to that.

Aside from my relatives in Virginia, I spent some time in Biloxi, Ms and Pensacola, Fl. I fully understand that not everyone in the South is a redneck.

However, when you come to an opposing team's message board for the sole purpose of talking trash, you certainly qualify as a redneck in my book.

Point taken, J. I just didn't want any kind of sweeping generalizations made, that's all.

No hard feelings...

Everytime I think of Atlanta, I think of Jeff Foxworthy's CD, "Games Rednecks Play" and the things he said about the doves at the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. I am pretty sure they were actually worried about people shooting the doves.
