I'm in the middle with Donnie, Dermontti, and Carnell. I'd like to see at least those 3 make it. That would be one heck of a party at the hall of fame. Unfortunately, my daughter's too little for me to take next year!

Donnie Shell all the way -- he was a huge part of the original dynasty and outlasted all the other starters on Defense #31 -- INMHO, he is one of the top five safeties to ever play the game and deserves to be in the HOF with the rest of the Steelers from that era...

Donnie Shell and Dawson are the two that I think deserve it the most.

shell and greenwood belong there with the rest of the steel curtain. all for 1 and 1 for all.

dermonti should be the 1st new age steeler to make it. k. green leads the list of all time sacks by a linebacker. he deservs it. im just not sure he choses to go in as a steeler (i hope so) dude was born and bred to be a steeler.

Is L.C. now to the point he only gets in through the veteran's committee?

With regard to this year's list of Steelers, I was a big Donnie Shell fan, but I do not think he had the consistent All-Pro credentials a HOF inductee should have. Same with Carnell Lake. Those two fit into the Andy Russell level of ex-Steelers for me.

OTOH Dawson should go in based on being the dominant player at his position fior a number of years.

Is it 2 or 3 more years until Woodson is eligible? I forget if Rod gave it up after 2002 or 2003 - there is a definite first round inductee.

dawson, rod, and jerome are definitely the cream of the crop of current steelers. rod played in the 2002 bowl so it cant be more than 2 years until he goes in. and i think youre correct about l.c. needing the veterans committee.

lake wont make it in. im actually suprised he was nominated. i hope they dont drag their feet on dawson, cause like you said he was the best at his position for years.
