Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports Pittsburgh Steelers LB Joey Porter has been fined $15,000 by the NFL for threatening an official during the Week 8 game. Team sources claim Porter told an official he was "coming after him or something along those lines."

This team should not have to bank on one man to keep the fire going. That's partly why we pay a head coach. That's also when somebody else needs to step up to the plate. This team knew Bettis was going to retire before the 2005 season. It's not as if his retirement came out of the clear blue. Did we expect Jerome to play until he was 85?
