Chad: Just get me the (expletive) ball
BALTIMORE - Chad Johnson was doubly frustrated by the Bengals' 26-20 loss and how he thinks he has been under-utilized all season.

And he let it all out Sunday in the locker room after the game.

Johnson had four receptions for 32 yards and no touchdowns against Baltimore. Teammate T.J. Houshmandzadeh surpassed Johnson as the team's leading receiver in yards gained (488 to 483).

"Anybody have the stats for today?" Johnson asked at one time. "Four - that sucks. You have your best player, and you can't even get him the (expletive) ball. I just go out there and get the job done. But now, all of a sudden, there is a problem this year. How many catches did I get? Four. That (expletive) sucks, too."

He has 40 catches for 483 yards and two touchdowns at the mid-point of the season. He is on pace for 80 receptions for 966 yards and four touchdowns.

Johnson, in his past three Pro Bowl seasons, has averaged 94 receptions, 1,353.7 receiving yards and 9.3 touchdown catches.

"All I can do as an individual is go out and make plays and give (my) best effort," Johnson said. "Also, to be given the opportunity to make plays. Four for 32 - that's (expletive) ridiculous. You've got to be (expletive) kidding me.

"When Christmas comes around, I might as well be a hood ornament. Because all I've been so far is a decoration - a decoration sitting out there all pretty, ready for people to jump on."

Johnson wants the ball but doesn't want to come across as selfish. He said the more he gets the ball, the better the chances are that the Bengals will win.

"What is No. 85 now, some kind of secret?" he said. "They know what the hell I can do."

He made a joking reference to retiring.

"Maybe I should retire like Tiki (Barber)," Johnson said of the New York Giants running back.

"You tell me what the problem is."

It's looking like Chad will indeed have a sub-1000yd season in receiving.

The remainder of the Cincy schedule is pretty brutal and it's fair to say that Cleveland and Oakland aren't just going to roll over.

The Bengals second half schedule:
San Diego
New Orleans

The Steelers already have clinched the title for most disappointing team this season, but the Bengals are coming up fast on Miami for second place.

Marvin could have a toxic locker room on his hands with a few more losses.

Unfortunatly, if the Browns can throw for 200+ yards on us, I think Carson Palmer is just going to murder the Chargers.

Look for a 35-42 type game. :dang:
