so the steelers are having a bad season. it happens every once in a while but us steelerfans can always take solice in the fact that they will be back to their winning ways.

just like the fact that the bungles will be back to their losing ways. 11-5 was a fluke for them just like this season is a fluke for the steelers. carson was a 1 trick pony who will never eclipse what he did last year. even though ben is throwing interceptions, he is evolving as a passer and is showing he still has tons of upside and plenty of room to improve.

so while we rebound and make it back to the playoffs next season, enjoy waiting for steve mcnair to retire so you can think you have a shot.

the bengals will always be the bungles and anyone who thought they would represent the afc in the superbowl is completely retarded.

Speak the truth Tony!! Speak the truth!!

It's great to see this "team" (The Bitches) self-destruct when faced with adversity. The finger-pointing & back-biting has begun in Shitsinnati. Couldn't happen to a better "team".

Give me a break, Ben has shown absolutely nothing this season, except for the ability to throw picks under pressure. Carson, even in a sub-par season, still has the 9th best passer rating in the NFL...Ben has the 28th best while leading the league in interceptions.

Waitaminit CS85, Ben has shown flashes of his normal brilliance this year when he was healthy, the games against KC & ATL (before he got knocked out) have shown EXACTLY what Big Ben (Iron Man) is fully capable of. Everything before and after has been an aberration.

Ben has overcome more tragedy in the past 6 months, than most people endure in a lifetime.

Hahahah, the 2-6 Steelers are saying something. Oh, their comparing Carson to Ben? Uh, let's see here, Carson's blocking offensive line sucks, and he still is playing much better than Ben. Ben may have shown a flash here and there, but that flash is dimmed faster than you can blink, as he throws his usual multitude of interceptions.

I do not believe last year was a fluke. I'm not making excuses, but it comes to the point that you have so many starters and key depth players injured, that it makes it hard to do what we did last year. Obviously there are things we need to work on, but this season is in no saying we will revert to being the crummy Bengals of the 90s. We're 4-4. We've hit some road blocks due to injuries, some poor performances by this team, and some bad coaching decisions. Even not playing on last year's level, we still lost 3 of the 4 games by no more than 6 points. We were in all but the Pastiebutts game until the end.

Yes, you guys have been known to pop back up, but you have to remember for years and years you guys performed horribly until you hit the 70s. The Bengals, I believe are starting to take off. We have to fix some things, but I don't think we'll regress back to where we were. We're trying to build our team so that doesn't happen. As you can see, though, you guys have drafted and built your team well, but even then you have off years. I'm not worried about the Bengals. I think we'll be fine.

see... that there is just the thing. YOU DIDNT DO JACK SHIT LAST YEAR! holy cow! go 11-5 and you think you cured cancer. plenty of teams go 11-5, its really no big deal. try going 15-1 with as many injuries you have, then follow that up with a sb season. until then youre just making excuses.

11-5 is just as much a fluke for the bengals as 5-11 is for the steelers.

Geesh, I try to be nice and rational with you people, and obviously that's not possible. You were jerks last year sitting behend me thinking it was funny when Palmer went got hurt, and you never changed. :dang:

A 2-6 season hasn't humbled you at all. You are going after me let's see because of 5 players acting stupid, how about Porter threatening the refs? If that was us, you'd be doing your typical Bengals criminals speech. How about all those unsportsmanlike conduct penalties from a losing team? You might not consider 11-5 much at all, but we did win the divison, and after going through 15 years with no playoffs, your team wins the division and makes playoffs, you're pretty happy. That was a huge accomplishment in my eyes, and we would have gone further last year if Kimo hadn't taken out our team's mvp.

This year isn't going great for us, but neither is your year and you are proving your "Superbowl win" was nothing but a fluke handed to you by the refs. :flap:

By the way, the Steelers are 2-6. You can call that a winning team if you want, but it doesn't matter what you did last year or in years past. Only this year matters. You can talk about years past, but it's not going to change anything. You'll probably be about 4-11 by the time we play you, at that point we'll beat you again. Even if we don't make the playoffs, I'll feel a little better, since we'll have shut out the Stoolers. That's not a winning team. I love you going after us, when your own doorstep has more crap on it than ours. :blah:

Really? Well, our "underachieving thugs" are still doing better than Baby Jen, Whines Ward, Wittle Willy, and Threaten Refs Porter. So, no matter what the record, uh, drinking too much of the Steel City water AGAIN? I believe that the record determines how good a team is in a particular year. Thus, this year, we are better. I think we were better last year too, but we'll never know because team mvp Carson's knee was ripped to shreds. Odds say, that we will do better than you this year. If we don't, I'll be woman enough to come back here and eat crow, I hope you're man enough to eat crow if the opposite happens. All statistics and records show 4-4 teams have gone on to make the playoffs and even the Superbowl, a lot more than 2-6 teams.

hmmmmmm..........if I remember correctly, the bungs were up on us by 10 points not once but TWICE that day. The fact that their defense in the second half had more holes than swiss cheese had nothing to do with Kitten Palmer's bum knee. I actually felt bad for breaking their quarterback until he started crying and whining about hating the Stellers like some preschooler.

Dude, your schedule is basically the same as ours. Your team has been immature and not together this year. Widdle Willie called them out on that. Besides, Willie is in no way better than Rudi, if he was than the Steelers wouldn't be looking for a bruiser type running back similar to the Bus.

I'd take what Palmer said as a compliment. He never criticized Kimo blatantly like Baby Jen did Odell. Palmer said he hates the Steelers, but after that he said it's because he's jealous and wants to win the Superbowl like you did last year, that's more of a compliment than anything.

you dont know much about offensive schemes do you?

check your schedule. bengals have maybe 3 wins left in them. believe me, 7-9 would be much sweeter if you actually won a playoff game in the past 15 years. have the bengals ever won 8 games in a row? the steelers have... infact they done it the past 2 years...with the same coaching...and personnel... they have something the bengals dont. the know how.

advantage: steelers

Uh, when the Steeler lose this week, Tony, and their playoff hopes are gone, I want you to be man enough to admit you were wrong. I'll be woman enough to admit if the Steelers make the playoffs and Bengals don't. That's all I'm asking.

That's all I'm asking.where have you been? i have pretty much stated that the steeler bengal game in week 3 was a must win for the steelers and especially the steelers chargers (and EVERY game since then) the steelers have not won the must win games and wont make the playoffs because of it. but that doesnt mean they are paper tigers. it is the bengals who were heralded as the best the afc has to offer. it is carson, chad, and rudi who are called the triplets.

it is they who are the subject of this thread. thats ok though, i dont need you to validate when they dont make the playoffs. i knew last year was a flluke all along. the steelers on the other hand will be back. it is tradition and a steelerfans birthright. :wink02:

I agree with Tony, at least J Peezy has the stones to back up his shit. Throwin chingasos with William Green is evidence of that. If I were that zebra, I'd be afraid. Very afraid. Peezy's got those pit bulls to walk.

How can you even compare Willie to Rudi?? Willie's a SuperBowl record-breaking back, while Rudi's just a fat slob who wants to be like The Bus. Don't be callin The Bus fat either, the boy's as solid as a rock.

CJ#85
11-09-2006, 12:47 AM
Bus = Big Fatty Fumbler

You all know Willie could not have carried that team in the Superbowl on his own. The Big Fatty played half the game. This year, Big Fatty has left, and well, your losing like crazy. You know Willie is the type of third down speed back, but not the type of back that can carry a team. You need a big bruiser like the Bus, and I bet that is what you look for in the draft or free agency.

Rudi, on the other hand, doens't need another back to help him. He can get the job done in a game on his own. You know you'd take Rudi if you could have a chance at him. Don't even try and deny it.

Tankus_Maximus
11-09-2006, 09:07 AM
Rudi aint dont jack shit this year. I'm not sure which Johnson sucks the most, Chad or Rudi. Heh..Johnson sucks the most...heh.

Anyways, you obviously haven't watched much of Willie, as it seems each game he's getting better finding the hole, or waiting for the hole to develop. I'd take Willie and his record-breaking-speed any day of the week over Chupa (Rudi) Johnson.

CJ#85
11-09-2006, 04:44 PM
Willie may be a good back, but I stand by the fact that he can't carry a team on his own like Big Fatty. That's all I'm saying. Willie is a speed back you use on third down. Obviously your run game is not on par as last year and neither is your quarterback or record. I guarantee that you guys will look to get a thicker up the middle running back like Rudi or Big Fatty in the draft or free agency.

Chad doesn't suck this year, the line has sucked in blocking. Based on his routes and coverage, Carson rarely has time to get him the ball, that's why he's thrown more to TJ and Chris.

Camel anyone?

CJ#85
11-10-2006, 12:41 AM
No, the reason that TJ and Chris have been getting the ball more is based on a couple different things. First of all, all three of them are different types of recievers who are assigned different routes to run. Secondly, neither of them are asssigned as much coverage as Chad. Therefore, based on the timing of the routes, the heavier coverage, and our lines blocking suckitude, Chad hasn't been getting the ball as much.

Believe me, Chad really is a good guy and good team player. When we were winning, he didn't care who got the ball. He was even congratulating Chris and TJ after the win vs. you guys. He had them on his paid appearance called "Chad's Corner" on Fox 19 in order to compliment them. Now that we are losing, he feels that he could help the team if they got him the ball more. Frankly, I wish they would. When he was able to get the ball more, we were able to win.
