Confirming my impression he knows his NFL, unlike some of the talking hyenas on TV, Dr.Z from SI.com accurately sums up major reasons for the Steelers crash in this excerpt from his "All Disappointment Team"

The Steelers' problems jump out at you. First of all, they miss far too many tackles. They didn't used to. One thing you could always count on from this team was a pass rush. Now it comes and goes. I haven't seen Joey Porter, their poster boy of the blitz, do a thing this year. Clark Haggans, on the other side, has been playing better. But the biggest problem is something that used to be one of their greatest strengths. Their offensive line. It seems to be eroding. Jeff Hartings, the center, seems to be aging. Alan Faneca, the perennial all-pro left guard, looks clumsy. This is not something the team is used to, and it's hard to cope with it.

Z also joins the crowd that has noticed Carson Palmer and the Chadster are not repeating their 2005 achievements.

Yeah but Dr Z can't even beat Brooklyn (I'm the hottest model at SI) Decker - with his weekly picks ... oh and Brook is the hottest model at SI:wink02:

Can't say I disagree with Dr. Z here, Dan. He's right on point about Peezy, the missed tackles, our once infamous blitz and the sluggishness of the OL. I think some of us here at SF should collect his salary for the past several weeks - we've been saying the exact same things - LOL!

The videos are funny because Dr Z. has no personality or social skills what so ever. It's no wonder he hides behind a keyboard. :computer:

Every time the model gets next to him he looks scared.

The MISSED TACKLES are killing us! Walker should have never been able to break that long run! Damn it!

Did he go on to mention the Turnovers? It seems to me that that's been more of the shining problem then the lack of tackling or blitz!

When a team knows the fundamentals, and doesn't execute them, and is not called on it, who's fault is that? Hmmmm. Oh that sweet home in the Carolina's!
