Cowher Address Injuries, Matchup With Browns

(KDKA) PITTSBURGH A week after answering questions about his players’ comments following a third straight loss, Bill Cowher’s comments were focused more on his team’s injuries and the upcoming game.

Safety Troy Polamalu is one of five Steelers listed as questionable for Sunday's game. Polamalu sustained a concussion early in the team's win over New Orleans and did not return.

Cowher said that Polamalu will undergo testing tomorrow. He also said that he has to be cleared before his status for the game can be decided.

Jeff Hartings, Dan Kreider, Deshea Townsend and Clint Kriewaldt are also listed as questionable. Willie Reid has been ruled out for this week and James Harrison is doubtful.

The Steelers play at Cleveland on Sunday at 1 p.m.

It is the first of five division games that the Steelers play in their final seven weeks.

Cowher said he is impressed with the Browns and how they have played saying that the team has a much different look than last season.

Cleveland beat the Falcons in Atlanta last season, 17-13.

On Monday, Browns wide receiver Braylon Edwards told the Cleveland Plain-Dealer that, "We're coming after their tails. You don't beat somebody 41-0 at their own house. We're coming for the Steelers. That's point-blank. Period."

That Braylon Edwards is a funny kid. What exactly has he accomplished? Besides tearing his ACL....

Reid could have broken his foot for as long as he has been out - I really would like to see what he has for the back end of the season so the Steelers can decide whether they need to try to get yet another return specialist for 2007.

I also question Reids injury, I don't believe he has a cast on his foot.

Agreed - Unsure of original diagnosis but something is definitely wrong for him to be out this long. I want all these young guns in playing.

I couldn't believe Cowher had Holmes out there returing punts against the Saints.

Davenport and Morey did the KO returns and (Thank God) the only punt return Holmes had he held on to for a fair catch and the other punt the Saints kicked went into the end zone for a touchback.

Holmes should never ever be fielding punts or kickoffs again.

Never is a long time. If we lose one more, wouldnt you put him back there to gain experience for next year ?

So does this mean James Harrison is practicing again? Man we missed that guy's depth.

What they need to do to Holmes is give him a CODE RED (A Few Good Men-the movie) put a pint of superglue in his hands followed by a football and then all take turns slugging him in the arms!!!! He'll never muff another punt/kick-off again!!!:dang:
