Polamalu returns to practice, predicts he'll play Sunday
Wednesday, November 15, 2006
By Ed Bouchette, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Safety Troy Polamalu returned to practice today and predicted he will play for the Steelers when they play the Browns in Cleveland Sunday.
Polamalu, who left last Sunday's game against New Orleans with a concussion in the first quarter, said he's been cleared by doctors to resume practice and play.
Stupid - I hope he doesn't

Shut up Troy. You're sitting.

If he sits it needs to be the HC that forces the issue.
After getting it wrong twice with Ben (Jax was a bad decision in hindsight while not inexplicable, but virtually everyone posting on this board was on record in advance saying Ben should not have played in Oakland) hopefully third time is a charm for Cowher and he sits Troy.
If Troy plays it reflects very badly on Cowher.

Dont play, take the game off to fully recover.
You go out there and hit players, you are at serious risk for another concussion, don't jepordize your career, sit this one out.

There's a little difference in Ben's concussion and Polamalu, Ben was knocked unconcious.
I still think Troy should sit, he tackles with his head and shoulder area and could risk further brain injury. He should be fine for the next game.

Troy will make a big play I feel it. I can almost say that every week anyway

he needs to sit and recover 100%, u do not recover from a concussion in a week.

Alright.....time for a few of you local hard core Steeler fans to kidnap Troy Sunday morning on his way to the stadium.
