SHIT!

? After struggling early against the Browns on Sunday, Ben Roethlisberger finished strongly. He clearly plays his best when he remembers to move in and out of the pocket and make plays with his feet. Roethlisberger could be without Hines Ward next weekend. Ward suffered a hyperextended knee that could sideline him for Sunday's game against Baltimore. The initial word is that he could probably play, but the team won't know until later in the week. It's pretty clear that Ward won't practice until Friday at the earliest.

Well that sucks. If Hines can't play then I would say use Heath Miller more in the passing game.

I'll wait until Cowher's PC to get the final word.

If it is a hyperextended knee, am I correct he probably did it when he came down after the catch and caught the turf with his cleats before the borderline late hit by the Brown?

This just means its time for the other recievers to step up and make a statement. But who would start there if he doesnt? Santonio I would assume would take his place.. My thoughts and prayers are with ya Hines:wave:

Holmes at #1. Wilson at #2. Washington at #3. Morey at #4.

After watching the way Wilson and Washington have played this season, that's just a tad bit scary in my book.

If anyone can make it back im sure Hines can - there is little point in him sitting out and playing it cautiously - by the end of the game the Steelers could be done for the year.

If anything, this is more the reason to throw to Miller more often.

Its a possibility that he could play...i know that. BUT it is not an injury that will heal quickly. SO IM HOPING IM WRONG. AND IM HOPING THAT HE PLAYS. He's a hell of a playmaker for our team.

BTW

WE MIGHT have Willie Reid back.....Could be our #4 if Hines cant go. WAY BETTER than MOREY!

After watching Wilson and Washington play yesterday, their incompetence was matched only by their indifference. Without Hines, its trouble.

Wilson showed up in the playoffs last year and that's about it.

Washington is inconsistent to say the least.

Reid, I haven't seen enough of in order to really have an opinion. Guy played one first half of a football game this season.

This is obviously what we did not want to hear, but I, too, am going to wait until I hear something more definitive from The Chin. Speculation at this point will only drive us mad. :crazy01:

I thought we'd do that anyway this season. Things don't always shape up but still six games to go.

I'll just wait for the official report from Cowher on Wednesday. I find a lot of times these injuries are described far worse than they really are. If there is a slight chance Hines plays then I think he will play.

You see the word "could?" They're throwing confusion into Baltimore's D-Coordinator's plans. It'll be a gameday decision, just like the QB against Oakland.

Well lets hope they get the decision right this time, then.

I agree. Heath is way under-used, and is almost a sure thing when thrown to. He doesn't always get a whole lotta yards after the catch--but the important thing is he MAKES the catch.

True... but he can break a 70+ yard touchdown run!

I definantly aggree. It tells the other WR's to step it up. When a fellow teammate is down, then you have to step up.

Sounds like Miller time to me.
