Just wondering how many of you have things that you "have to do" on game day.

I have multiple things but Ill start out with the one that starts out each and every game day for me.
I must no matter where I am drink my morning coffee from the same Stiller mug no matter where I am. I take it with me to work, if I am out to breakfast I let the server no that I will be supplying my own mug, when I am going to be away from home on game day the mug comes. I have been doing this since I started drinking coffee.

I wear one jersey through the regular season and a different one in the playoffs and superbowl.

As soon as a crawl out of bed I put my Jersey on. Lay on the couch for a few hours then start blasting the Steelers Polka, Here we go STeelers song and any other Steelers songs I have. The before game time I grab my terrible towel and start waving it like I was at the game. For Monday night games its pretty much the same, only it starts when I get home from work.

I have to talk to my big Ben pin. See, last year, i got a pin with Big Ben's picture on it, and after i started wearing it, I gave it pep talks, because i'm weird like that. Well, after that we never lost again.

I've been forgetting to put it on, but i have recently, and we've been doing better. Maybe it's my fault we're doing really bad this year....

This is really fun reading about everyone else's rituals!! Well I have really only been a Steeler fan since 2004-Ben's Rookie season. I guess I just never got into football, but I remember watching the playoff game against the Titans a few years ago. Anyway-I put on my Hines Ward jersey that I got the week before they won the Superbowl last year, I paint my face, I wave my mole. The mole is this thing I made for Chemistry class for bonus and a mole is some unit and I made Ben "Mole"thlisberger!! It has a helmet and a terrible towel!! I'll have to take a picture of it and post it here!! Well that's basically what I do before a Steeler game!!

My ritual is wake up. Look in the fridge to make sure there is enough beer. Take a shower put on my steelers attire and watch nfl countdown until 1. Then I tune into steeler football

I get my text message from my buddy "Here We Go". Break out the authentic Mean Joe Greene jersey, put on the the same clothes I do every Sunday ( I even wash them, unless we are on a winning streak:jawdrop: ) and go to my other buddies house for beer and pancakes, mmm mmm good! Load up, drive around and pick everyone else up who we car pool with, go to the bar, meet up with everyone, and start the cheering around 11am.

My seat, how I sit, what I dink out of, a Rolling Rock Toast with my brother, and the list goes on and on.I was at Disney World for the day after Christmas game against the ratbirds two years ago, and my brother and I did a cell phone toast before the game. Talk about Steelers fans, the All Star Sports Cafe at Disney was packed with Steelers fans that day. Funny thing though, the guy next to me, was from 3 miles down the road from me here in ohio, he told me that he is a browns fan, and begged me not to tell anyone.

I have none. I used to. Then I realized I was driving myself insane. Watching so many playoff defeats in person tends to do that to a person. So I stopped and we ended up winning our first Super Bowl in 25 years. Go figure....

It drives me insane also, I try and try, and cant break some of my habits. Rule number one though, we have on average 25 people here for the games at my house. Everyone knows my seat! Maybe not a ritual, but its my seat.

This is one I started when I moved to Spokane, but I watch every game at Hero's and Legends sports bar.

I usually get there at 9 or so, go striaght to the bar, order a tall boy Mac and Jacks, and do shot of crown.

Oh, and for the past 5 years I always wore my Alan Faneca Jersey, well it took quite a beating and I got an Authentic Peezy jersey this year. Well a few weeks ago I ordered a new Faneca jersey, and I wore it for the first time last week vs. the Panthers, and well, we all saw how that worked out. Sorry Peezy!

Oh, and I also watch my video from the marching season and watch the band that played "Pittsburgh Polka" as one of their songs in their competition show. Great part is, they're not in our band's division, so i'm allowed to like them!

teehee, i'm such a geek....

The night before I have to play Madden ..and have to be the Steelers against the next days opponant...On game day I usually work...but if I am off I will go to church, get home about 11:00 and change into my ratty steeler sweatshirt (or Jersey if I am going to a friends house...my wife refuses to let me leave the house in the old sweatshirt)...and USUALLY I will eat subs and Diet Dr Pepper....

On a sad note: The old sweatshirt was retired last night.:salute:

This past band season we did "A Night in Tunisa". I don't think we ever saw you, unless you were at the EF competition before the Campionships. What did you do?
