He might as well have been kicking that on the BEACH!!!!!!!!

THAT FIELD IS PATHETIC! So much for having a home field turf to take advantage of Holmes and Parkers Speed.

Thats exactly what I was thinking....I was walking up the stairs and heard him say that...had to turn around and cuss him out some more.

These commentators..ALL OF THEM are idiots...I think that they need to know something about football if theyre gonna get payed for telling us about it....He said Cowher did something out of character by giving Washington the ball again...Cowher ALWAYS does that...and he has for several years now.

Anyways...10-0 the game is everything but bagged.

During what always was seen as the soft part of the schedule, the Steelers are 4-1 since the Broncos loss.

In hindsight, the Falcons, Raiders, Broncos stretch (three winnable games) is what sunk the season.

Nice effort with 4 starters out tonight.

But in any ranking of the worst teams in the NFL, Tampa Bay and Cleveland cannot be left out of the conversation.

Ben's second concussion against the Falcons screwed us bigtime for that stretch. I think the Steelers would have beaten the Falcons if Ben wouldn't have been knocked out of the game. It was clear against the Raiders that Ben should have sat that game out. He wasn't right against the Raiders and with Batch starting the Steelers probally would have won that game. Its to bad but hey I guess thats how it goes sometimes.

Biggest mistake of the season: starting Ben the following week against the Raiders - he played exactly like a guy who got his brains scrambled (again) the week before. And I don't give a damn that the team doctors cleared him medically to play that game.

What keeps me going through this year is that there have been some obvious tough breaks this season but last year (starting about this time) the Steelers took off on a run that did not just go deep into the playoffs but won it all.

So if I knew at this time last season that the price for the two months from early Decemer 2005 through early February 2007 would be paid back as it has been this season, would I as a fan make that trade? Since I think Ben will recover from everything with no long term after effects, my answer is yes.

No not saying that all. Don't you think with the way Ben was playing in that game that maybe Ben would have made enough plays to win that game. I know Batch played well. But Ben was really firing on all cylinders in that game. My gut feeling if Ben isn't knocked out of that game the Steelers win it. Maybe Ben makes a play or two that Batch didn't against the Falcons. ben or batch wasnt on the field for the onside kick. batch didnt have any fumbles.

No kidding Ben or Batch wasn't on the field for the onside kick and Batch didn't have any fumbles. I just think Ben would have made enough plays to win that game. Sure Batch played great and threw two TD's as well. But Charlie also missed some plays that I think Ben could have made in that game. Tony I never said Ben should have been benched for the year or against the Ravens. Quit putting your own spin on things. I said Ben should have been removed from the game in the 4th quarter since the game was alreay over. No since to risk him to further injury when the game was over. The Ravens dominated the Steelers that day.

Was Derek Anderson in a motorcycle accident or had a appendix removed? Plus factor in another concussion against the Falcons for Ben. The guy has been through alot this year from a health stand point. I just felt with the Steelers getting their asses handed to them it served no purpose to risk the future of this franchise to further injury with the game over. Its hard to find franchise QB's in the NFL. Ben is still young and growing and the sky is the limit for him. I guess the next time the Steelers play the Ravens and if the Ravens are winning 30-0 in the 4th quarter lets leave Ben in there and risk him to injury when there is no need to. Good ****ing call.

Yes I have had my appendix removed. I had it removed when I was 16. But what does my past health issues have to do with Ben and all his health issues this year? Plus when did I say it was worse then Carson Palmer's knee injury? Just mentioning all of Ben's health issues this year Tony thats all. Put your spin on it like always. I still think it was dumb to risk Ben to further injury (especially with all Ben has been through this year) when a game is over in the 4th quarter.

Throw in the towel? No I just live in the real world Tony and I know the Steelers won't make the play-offs. Steelers have been a bad road team all year and I don't expect it to change now.
