Hello All!

Just thought I would update everyone a little.

Dawn and I are finally in our new home after a wonderful month away. We have literally gone coast to coast, here's a quick run down of our vacation/travel/move, etc...

- We left San Diego the evening of Nov 2nd.

- Our 1st 2 nights were at a resort in Rio Rico, AZ. to visit with friends.

- We then drove to Bisbee, AZ and spent the night in a century old boarding house (the Silver King) and walked around this 1880's copper mining town. VERY interesting.

- Next was a stop at Tombstone to see the OK Corral and Boothill graveyard.
We then drove north, spending a night in ShowLow, AZ, relaxing in a room supplied with a jacuzzi, sipping ****tails....ahhhhhh..........

-We drove the entire length of The Petrified Forest and the Painted Desert, stopping to touch the wood fossils and stand in awe of the Indian ruins and petroglyphs...wow!

- One night was spent, just for rest, in Gallup New Mexico, spending the following day wandering around the Ice Cave and admiring the Bandera Caldera...what a magnificent explosion that extinct volcano must have put on.

- Spending a number of days in Texas to visit family was next on the list, leaving at midnight the last evening to arrive at our new home in Mississippi at 5:30am. The movers were there at 8:00am to drop off our things. We rested that evening and the next morning before leaving out yet again, bound for West Virginia with a stopover just north of Chattanooga, TN for some rest.

- We spent my Birthday, Thanksgiving and a part of Deer season there at Dawn's Grandfather's (yes, I have fresh venison in my freezer!!!).

- Down to North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for a week at her Mother's home ( :banging: )where I walked the beach and touched the Atlantic to my lips (after doing the same on the Pacific just 3 weeks before).

We are now home where I try to avoid Dawn as she darts around our new home making it livable (only dodging her due to my "honeydo List" getting ever greater in length!).

I have cut my hair back to it's typically stubbly finish and intend to report to my new command this coming Monday.

This has been a very long trip, but worth every minute and every dime we sank into it. We even picked up an additional vehicle and a teacup chihuahua along the way. :dang:

But, I am glad to be back here.

Look for more from me now, it seems as though I have missed quite a bit!

Once again, it is GREAT to be back!
Mikey

does that mean no more pony tail??? :chuckle:

i recently made the drive between gallup nm and laughlin nv and wanted to make the detour to the petrified forest or that meteor crater and was looked at like i was clark w. griswald wanting to visit the worlds largest ball of mud. maybe next time.

Welcome back Shooter! Wow - what an incredible ride you and your wife had and it sounds like you both enjoyed every moment of it! You deserved that break, Mike, and I'm glad you and your wife were able to spend that time together in such a wonderful way!

Great to have you back among us and look forward to seeing you around these parts a lot more often!

Welcome back Mike and congrats once again on your new home! Don't avoid that list, sweetie! Get it done quickly (it'll be less painful that way) so you can be all settled in and have more time to come in and post.

Thanks all!

The trip was incredible! Tony, go ahead and tour the forest when/if you get the chance. This was our second time to tour AZ. We really enjoy it there, which is wierd since I never had a desire to tour AZ until that first trip where we hunted for Ghost Towns (6 Ghost towns, 1 gold mine, and the Grand Canyon in 7 days!)
FCG - Good advice! I'll get hot on it!
Godfather - Thx Bro! I spent 9 months here back in '94, ...man has it changed, through growth AND Katrina.
HTG - Yes ma'am, we had quite a bit of "quality time" together...we needed it!
LITP - Always with the humor! LMAO! "tonyhomo.com!" Love it!

Well, gotta go get to work on that list! LMAO!
