PITTSBURGH -- Steelers' linebacker Joey Porter could face his second fine from the NFL this season for trash-talking Cleveland Browns tight end Kellen Winslow.
On Thursday night, Winslow was flagged for a personal foul for hitting Steelers linebacker James Farrior after a play. In a post-game interview, Porter referred to Winslow with a derogatory word used to describe homosexuals.
"I guess, how we used that word freely, me using it growing up, I didn't think anything of it," Porter said on Tuesday. "I apologize to anyone I offended. I didn't mean to offend nobody but Kellen Winslow."
Porter, who refused to shake Winslow's hand before and after the game, said he sometimes feels like a target because he has a lot to say and people can blow it out of proportion.
Porter was fined $15,000 earlier in the season for something he said to a referee. It's unclear what was said, and Porter never appealed.
"Once they get your money, you're not going to get it back," Porter said.
The NFL has not said whether Porter will be fined for his comments about Winslow.
