excellent article breaks down why players like romo and grossman looked great at the beginning of the season but begin to tail off after about game 5. also great insight of what a d. coord goes through in film study to prepare for these relatively unknown qb's (young and leinart).

http://nfl.com/news/story/9867191 to long to copy here, but heres an exerpt.

There are a few ways to get after these first-year players. Some can't handle the pressure schemes, some can be baited into bad throws, and, as always, a combination should be the most effective. Romo is hard to sack because of his athletic ability, but right now it looks like he thinks he can stick a ball into where the coverage says he shouldn't. Everyone left on the Cowboys' schedule and all of the playoff hopefuls will use the Saints game when getting their game plan together. As one defensive coordinator said to me, "It looks like the concept might be to contain the rush and not let him out like Ben Roethlisberger likes to create outside the pocket and see if we can get him to throw some balls to us like Ben has this season."

a betting man would have taken this info and the fact that payton knew the cowboys and placed money on the underdog saints. watch for jay cutler. his 5th game will be their final game of the season. if he does make it to the playoffs they wont last long.

Nice post - it shows what a copycat league the NFL is...
