As the year closes, my friends and I have taken time and looked back on this year. We were so tired of seeing how the holiday's have become about the glitz and glamor, and we just wanted to think about what matters most.
As we did, I have realized that some of my most important life lessons, I learned this year. And I wanted to share some life lessons that just might make you think.
I have learned that life is a gift, that it can be taken away just as easily as it can be given. I found that out the hard way this year when my grandfather, who was like a father to me, passed away on mothers day of this year due to lung cancer.
I've also learned that life as it's good and bad times. But if you string together all the good times, you outweigh the bad times. So If you are having a bad time, you have had about twenty other good times to be thankful for. But what we should worry about is time, and how we use it, and about not having enough of it to spend with our loved ones. Because once you run out you can't get any more.
So remember these thoughts through the rest of this year, and think about your family, eat some food, and cheer the Steelers on to victory. Our families are the most important things we have in our lives. That my friends, it was the holiday season is all about.
