View Full Version : End of season poem - 01/06/07

It was week 17 in Cincinnati - the last season game
And the Cincinnati Bengals we were looking to tame

They beat us at home earlier this year
How much they're better is all we ever hear

This game was setup to be a real showdown
Possibly fighting for the division crown

Unfortunately, our season didn't go our way
And we were playing only for pride on Sunday

If we were going down the Bengals were too
Spoiling their season is what we wanted to do

There wasn't a lot of scoring but it was sure hard hitting
A division game - so that seems fitting

Anthony Smith hit TJ hard - we all heard the smack
And isn't it great to have James Harrison back?

It was almost over - their fate almost sealed
Then Willie Parker dropped the ball on the field

This allowed Carson Palmer to bring them back and score
Then Jeff Reed answered and tied it up once more

Carson Palmer tried his best to beat us
But Shayne Graham's leg wasn't going to defeat us

The game went to OT on his missed kick
Ben's pass to Santonio made Bengals fans sick

Unfortunately for the Bengals, another heartbreaking loss
And it turned out to be the last one coached by our boss

Thanks Coach Cowher for all of your time
I'm going to write about that in another rhyme

8-8 I can deal with after such a pitiful beginning
Next year we'll be back - to get back to winning

So really there's only one thing left - in honor of Bill
Yeah, Bengals - WE DEY STILL!
