Here is a list of former and current players who never won the superbowl. Who do you think is the greatest to never win a superbowl

Not a guy who'd knock off my choice, but I'd have to put Fran Tarkenton on the list. He was as good as some of the others (I chose Marino).

Yep, Tarkenton was at the top of the list until Marino's career ended without winning the big one. I think Butkus and Sayers deserve honorable mention as well.

Marino just done so much for the Dolphins offense back in the day that the Dolphins didnt need much of a running game or defense. He was something special to watch when he was in his prime. But I think someone else that needs mentioning is QB Dan Fouts of the Chargers. by no means was Tarkenton ever in the same class that Marino was.. No way!!:helmet:

You should've just done retired players.

And added Dan Fouts. :bouncy:

I picked Barry Sanders. His runs were so theatrical, there was no reason for a flashy TD celebration. Like Jim Brown, he retired too early.

I have to say Kelly with Tarkenton finishing a close second ...4 times each man that's got to hurt...
