Well, since we can't cheer for the Steelers in the bowl, you would you like to cheer for?
I'm going with the bears.

I'm going for Tony Dungy. I met him when I did an intern with the Bucs. He took the time to talk to me like I was human and not some pleeb! He even made it a point to remember my name for the entire month of training camp. And that was only after the third day!
He's a great man and I can only hope that he wins the big one to show all these scubs fans that what they got in Jon Gruden is what they deserved (and it's not the one Super Bowl he won with Dungy's team)! A team that has been torn apart since Gruden's arrival (calling Mike Alstott, Mark Alstott)!

Tony Dungy is the ONLY reason a Colt victory would be welcome. The problem is that I can find about 100 reasons why it would not be welcome.

Peyton Manning going to Disney World.
Peyton Manning going to the White House.
Peyton Manning doing a Maxwell House commercial.
Peyton Manning doing a Dr. Pepper commercial.
Peyton Manning doing a Fruit-of-the-Loom commercial.
Peyton Manning doing (fill in the blank) commercial.

Da Bears. Bears=Ditka=Pitt.

Also, it would be hilarious if Peyton goes ringless again.

Colts

I like Dungy and, as ESPN Sports Guy Bill Simmons says, Peyton already endorses everything other than herpes medications so it is not as if we will see him in more commercials if they win.

Plus if the Colts win we can be done with the "will Peyton ever win a SB" story that I am sick of hearing.

i'm going for the colts. I love how much of a class act marvin harrison is. It's always good to see a great wr not show boat.

I'd take the Colts - they have been there or thereabouts for a number of years - the Bears seem to have sprung on the scene recently mainly due to a weak schedule.

As much as Peyton has let his team down at crucial points in the past - he came through sunday so i'd like to see him get his ring.

I would have a hard time getting used to thinking of Rex Grossman as a SB winning QB.

Well I live 55 miles from Chicago and 3 hours from Indy. So I'm dead smack in this midwest Super Bowl. My best friend and most of his family are diehard Bears fans. They cheered for the Steelers last year for me so I'm rooting for the Bears for them. Plus I can't stand Peyton Manning and the Colts fans around where I live are a bunch of ass hats.

Either way, this is big deal for smash mouth midwest style football.

Colts, Simply because Tony Dungy and marvin harrison are as classy as they come in the world of pro sports today. If the Bears win I won't have a problem with that though. Pretty much it will be an unemotional day full of good food and cold beer.

Colts. I don't like the Bears. Their QB throws 21 picks and everyone thinks he's awesome. >_>

I dont see how the Colts(just cause the AFC is better) could lose right now, but I'd rather the Bears win.

+I love to see Manning cry:point: :crying01:

only reason I would mind the colts winning is Dungey (as someone else said)

I'd much rather see a great QB like Manning get a ring then Grossman.

regardless of the outcome 1 of 2 modern day great players will get a ring. p. manning or b. urlacher. (add m. harrison to that list)

anyone notice urlacher chasing r. bush on his 88 yd catch? urlacher wasnt catching him but bush wasnt pulling away.

Off topic, but FWIW Bush lost some major points with me by the taunting 10 yards from the end zone; not really the proper response when it is early in the 3rd Q and you still are behind.

If it was a regular season game he might/should have drawn a flag.

IMHO Lovie Smith (and definitely Tony Dungy) appear to have that crap under control.

I've gotta' say Bears, just because I'm not a Peyton fan.

That said...

If the Colts win, I'll be very happy for Dungy and Harrison -- they're class acts, who certainly deserve a ring.

Gotta go with the Colts, mainly because of Dungy.

I have hated the playoffs all the way through since I cannot bring myself to root for any of the teams that played.... I wasn't going to watch them at all, but the whackiness of the first weeks games sucked me in, and yesterday I just sort of watched and watched.... I couldn't pull for anyone......

However, that said, I have always liked Dungy and there was part of me that went, "Yay!" when the Colts won.... I just don't know if I will be handle the pandering to Manning that will be happening before, during and after the game.....

At least this year at the SB, I will be able to leave the room to go potty - - - last year was awful - - - I had to watch the commercials - - so no potty breaks then, and definitely no potty breaks during the game.... I think I snuck one in late in the half time show......

It sucks that we missed the playoffs, but at least this year I've been able to relax and enjoy the games. I was a nervous wreck last year.

HAHAHAHA, I love it...
One more reason why I hate Manning, he appears on TV more than Paris Hilton and Lindsey Lohan combined,
If he doesn't get one, he can just cut that meat...

I'm torn, as I adore both Tony Dungy and Lovie Smith, but I'm leaning towards the Colts because they are AFC and with the comeback Peytoon made on Sunday, I feel he is deserving of that ring, as well as one of my all-time fave WRs - Marvin Harrison. I'll bet Edge is sorry he decided to go to the Cards for mo money - LOL!

The only drawback to Indy winning is that we would be besieged by even more Peytoon commercials - I don't know if I could stay sane seeing one more. :dang: :dang:

I gotta agree with all of the above here.......I would love to see Tony Dungy get that ring (well, I'd would have loved to see Cowher get a second one even more but there ya go.....). I think Dungy is deserving of a championship but the whole scenario smells to high heaven with Peyton Mannings smug face all over it. If there's one person I from another team I despise as much as I despise the entire Bengal organization (and I don't hide that very well, do I??), it's that arrogant, selfish, it's all about me me me, I'm God's gift to football, qb for the Colts. It's too bad he spoils the image of what otherwise appears to be a classy organization.

I'm a Bears fan for the next week and a half! (but yes, I would be happy for Dungy if the Colts win). Afterall, he is the mentor of our new coach........and I feel that's very good thing!

Well, I wouldn't care as much if Peyton wasn't a media darling. I mean, Tony Dungy would make an excellent Superbowl coach, I just wish he didn't have Peyton to soil that.

As much as I cannot stand Peyton Manning...if Rex Grossman gets a ring...it will hurt the integrity of the game...he's a feakin' idiot.

BY JAY MARIOTTI Chicago Sun-Times Columnist
To say he looked like a deer in headlights is to insult the deer. Quite possibly, in the history of wretched quarterbacking, no one has played more feebly than Rex Grossman did on New Year's Eve while juxtaposed against Brett Favre's enduring spirit and a town of suddenly sober drunks. Bring me the head of the fool at the sleepy newspaper who suggested Rex -- oh, is this painful -- could be a Favre ''in training.''

The Bears are who we thought they were!!!!

I'm going with Peyton "I'm a Tool" Manning

Actually I like Rob Morris (went to school with him) and Bob "the eraser" Sanders (reminds me of Troy P) - both starters on Indy's defense - look for both to have a big game - I already put a voodoo hex on Grossman - he will throw some key pics....
