Kordell could have been great if used properly
they should have used him as slash and not just a qb
punt returns
receiver
half back
and sometimes quarterback

Agreed. It's too bad he was just too stubborn to realize that. For some reason he just couldn't let the idea of playing QB go. :dang:

Kent Graham and Mark Malone. :wink02:

I wasn't a huge Korkie fan, but I appreciated him, just as I do all former Steelers, for their accomplishments while with the team.

I agree Kordell sucked but after Chan Gailey left in 97 the Steelers didn't get the best OC. They hired Ray Sherman in 98 and he was terrible. Sherman fired after one year. Then Kevin Gilbride and sucked as well. Both Sherman and Gilbride didn't use Kordell to his strengths like Gailey did.

When Mularkey took over as OC Kordell did play better in 2001.

Both Hines and Kordell had dreams of playing QB in the NFL.....One decided to be the best WR he could be...and one couldnt set his pride to the side....

Now one is a SB MVP..and the other?......is an asterick.....and the punch line on joes vs pros

wasnt the steelers one of 2 teams NOT to have a qb coach? i wonder whos idea it was not to have a qb coach until tom clements in 2001? suprisingly enough kordell made the pro bowl that year.

similarly the bengals are like the only team that has just 1 scout. no wonder their drafts suck and they always pick criminals. most teams have a number of scouts.

he shoulda embraced his role as "slash" and kept it that way - as soon as he became a full-time QB it went downhill from there...there were days he made me want bubby all over again.

They tried. But he wanted to be an NFL QB. :dang:

It shows how far you have fallen.

present- contestant on a reality tv show

See that sunset Kordell......................follow it.

On that note, that show is absolutely horrible in my opinion. Spike should stick to MXC and the James Bond marathon's.

I have said it a hundred times.

The biggest problem with Kordell was the fact that they were trying to make him into a pocket QB. If they allowed Kordell to be Kordell, he would have been much better. Notice, I said much better... not great, just much better.

Same problem they have here in ATL with M. Vick.
