Go Bears!

I think the Colts hold most of the aces in this game, certainly on paper.

I expect the Bears to pass early and often on 1st downs to try and open up the running game for Thomas and Benson.

The Colts will try to be balanced on offense, they have enough weapons to win anyway they want.

Big match up will be Urlacher v Clark and Berrian v whichever Colts DB gets him.

Im going to be at work for this one, but im taping the game.

Enjoy the Bowl boys and girls.

DA BEARS! Got to root for the underdog. Plus, I don't think I could root for any other AFC team besides the Steelers!

Colts...I will have a hard time refering to Rex Grossman as a Superbowl champion quarterback.

tough game to call. the wind and rain could slightly favor the bears. if it was 75 degrees and humid, i'd say it would slightly favor the colts. i dont think either team comes out too tight. there could be 24 points scored in the 1st half which is unusual for a sb. for the bears to win i think b. urlacher has to turn in a mvp type performance. he should shut down d. clark, and like ty law, i dont think manning should test him too often. if the colts win, i think it will be tough to choose the mvp between, addai, harrison, and manning. in that case the nod probably goes to manning.

watch for rickey proehl. he replaces b. stokely. im not for sure, but the last time the bears and colts played was during mannings record breaking year and stokely had a productive game. proehl was brought in for his experience. he has 2 clutch td's at critical moments in the sb. once for the rams, and once for the panthers. i expect him to have a td and/ or a huge 3rd down conversion late in the game when it may be needed most. flushing urlacher out with clark couls leave a crossing pattern or post route wide open for the slot wr.

im not a firm believer in "bad rex" for this game. if the bears lose, i dont think it will be on his shoulders, just like seattle losing last year wasnt on hasselbecks shoulders. i dont think they will play scared, and i look for them to go deep early. the bears offense, and especially their wr corps is under rated. anyone remember mushin in the sb vs. the pats? harper will be tested with his bum ankle. the colts should anticipate this and provide help over the top. this could open things up for berrian, davis, and desmond clark (who could be a darkhorse for mvp if the bears win)

great piece on bill walsh on the pre game show. good to hear his cancer is in remission. i never rooted for the 49ers, but definitely respect what a great coach he was.

how people can try to place jerks like belichick in the same class as lombardi, let alone as an equal to greats such as walsh, noll, landry, gibbs, and even levy is beyond me. greatness is measured by more than just the rings. it is also measured by those you impact, and walsh has influenced the league and affected those he has worked with as much as anybody.

interesting insight from c. casserly. the ref crew today likes to call offensive holding. they did 3 bears games and called it 7 times against them. in the other 13 games the bears played it was only called against them 4 times.

this was called last year vs seattle that negated a significant gain. the following play was a steelers int.

another interesting nugget- the colts have been practicing with the silent count, expecting a large number of bears fans and the crowd noise to favor the bears.

I was rooting for the Colts because of Sanders and how he grew up near where I live. But don't think he should've been the MVP.

MANNING didn't even come close to playing a good game, sorry. The defense and the running backs won it for them, not that Country RedNeck. Once again the NFL does the stupid thing and gives it to Manning, and OH great let the fans vote...PLEASE!!!!

I'm drunk. Really don't care who was SB MVP. But, rooting for a boy from Prep. Manning doesn't deserve it either. Not really sure who does!

Maybe Peyton should sign one for his little brother too!

How hot is that colts championship hat? I like it.

Not as hot as Dungy's wife.

Which Cadillac did Peyton choose or do you just get an Escalade?

If Peyton got an Escalade I assume he tricks it out with rotating rims.

Dont care what anybody says Manning DIDN"T deserve MVP!!! PERIOD

I dunno...25/38 for 247 yards and a TD is a good performance. Except for that first drive, he played well.

I wanted Addai to win MVP, but he and Rhodes have been splitting the duties all year so neither one is going to win much in the way of individual honors.

One TD not necessarily great performance! But not really one to single out for MVP!

Congrats to the Colts and Peyton Manning for winning the Super Bowl. They deserve it. Great team effort the whole way just like the Steelers last year. So I have to respect that.

Look at it this way......it takes a Steeler to win a SuperBowl!! Congrats to to Tony Dungy. Peyton Manning can go a away now.

Well if you name two MVP's Cadillac has to pony up two cars.

I was not impressed at all with Ron Rivera's defensive scheme. The Steelers, Bolts and Pats have shown in the past the only way to beat Manning is to make him beat himself by comming after him consistently. Granted, the Colts overcame some of this on their way through the playoffs. Still, trying to get to Manning with your front four, while laying off and waiting for him to make a mistake on his own is a sure path to defeat.

Congrats to the Colts -- great to see Dungy win the big one as a coach.

Props to Lovie Smith as well; his interview after the game was very classy and respectable, considering how things played out.

I was not impressed at all with Ron Rivera's defensive scheme.

Same here.

Makes me very glad we passed on him as a possible head coach.

Its Manning. They have to give it to him, after all, he is the messiah of football.

All this does is give me a reason to not watch any NFL-related programming until July, so that I won't have to endure 5 months of Manning this and Manning that. I'm happy for Tony Dungy finally getting the monkey off his back - couldn't happen to a better coach and person. But Peytoon can go get lost in a swamp for all I care.

I gotta give props where they are deserved. Peytoon & Co. came out of their protective little dome and got it done in very bad weather conditions. It was one of the sloppiest SBs I can remember, but the Colts emerged the victors.

Congrats Coach Dungy - I couldn't be happier for you!

I have sacrificed a large mammal to the Football Gods...in gratitude of not having to hear pseudo-bear fans say "Da-Bears" ...for the next year..and then talk about how "the 06-07 Bears were the best team in history..

Thank you OH FOOTBALL ALMIGHTY!!!!! :nw:  :nw::bowdown: :nw::bowdown: :nw::bowdown: :nw::bowdown: :nw:

Well, I woudn't be runing around saying Da Bears. Of course, I guess that would be kind of like everyone else hearing us say "WE DEY!" which IMO they can listen and hate us in annoyance because we still dey.
Anyway, I will agree even though that this is seriously hurting me in my soul, that the Colts did play a good game. I am happy for Tony Dungy, not so much for Manning, heh heh.

I'd have to disagree with you. There's going to be a repeat of the beat down we gave the colts last year in their own house. Peyton will once again be reminded of what it is like to tattooed from start to finish!

Congrats to the Colts, they were the better team and I think that Peyton deserved the MVP, he had a good game considering the rain and being a dome team.
