OK so our season was full with them. But I want you guys to post the most gut wrenching, heart breaking turnover of our season. Check out mine...

Steelers vs. Raiders

I wasn't getting the game on TV, and 970theburgh.com or dve.com were both not working. So, I figured I'd use the CBS sportsline play-by-play online. They had an option called "audio on" so I turned it on. We were driving down the field, I believe down by 7, or tied, and we were close to the goal line in the red-zone. I looked away from the computer, and the audio goes "TOUCHDOWN!" so I jumped up and started running around the room.

I go check the computer and...

100 YARD INTERCEPTION RETURN FOR A TOUCHDOWN

I was going to puke and cry at the same time

1st bungles game in the 1st half and the steelers are about to go up on them by double digits. ben throws an int into the endzone.

still in the game in the 2nd half, and colclough drops the kick. that must win game and the next 5 proved turnovers were contagious.

Agree with TH about the INT on 1st and goal on the Bengals 6, up 7-0 to start the second quarter of the Bengals game in week three, as the key turnover and (for that matter) play of the season..

IMHO the game and the season went downhill from that point - as usual this past season, Ben forced the throw, but that play call was the symbol of 2006 Whiz play calling and was the type of call that may have caused Cowher not to recommend Whiz for the HC job (if that story is true) and the Rooneys to drift away from choosing Whiz. So the impact arguably goes way beyond the 2006 season

Steelers had been pounding the ball until then - if they go up 14-0 Coclough's fumble later in the game was a non-event. It set the tone for an entire season of boneheaded plays.

Other candidates:

Ben & Hartings screw up the center snap up 17-7 in the second quarter of the Falcons game when the Steelers had been unstoppable up until then; and

The two INTs for TDs in Oakland, the day the season really ended.

Im going to have to say the one against Oakland. I cant stop thinking that a loss against the worst team in football killed our season.

The Raiders one and the one during the Bengals game when Ricardo muffed the punt, don't know if that one counts, but I thought I might as well put it in there.

The worst for the team; INT in Raiders game. But, the ugliest had to be the punt going off Coclough's helmet!

Colcough's muffed put was the beginning of.....THE BEGINNING. The raider pick was, in looking back, the game that killed us (along with getting our tits lit up by the ravens), but Ricardo....OH RICARDOOOOOO!!!! I', still, to this day, so pissed about that play. We gave the frickin' game to the inmates of the state of Ohio dept of corrections on that day. DONT GET ME STARTED!!!!!

I believe that the turnovers in the Bengals game were the worse because it just gave me the feeling that this was "THE BEGINNING" of "THE END". I can't explain why but for some reason I just knew that the Steelers wouldn't overcome their turnover problems.

I am going to agree on the Raiders turnover. Losing to that team was a disgrace.
