lol I'll probably be posting a whole bunch of these over the offseason, as the Draft is my favorite part of the year, and anytime some new info comes out, I have to do another one. Plus the fact that It's a snow day, and i have nothing better to do. On this one I traded our 15th overall pick to the Jets for the 25th and 57th overall picks. The Jets will start to sweat when Marshawn Lynch falls to the Packers, and moves up to take him.
Steelers trade the 15th overall pick to the Jets for the 25th and 57th overall picks
1st Rd. (25) – Jarvis Moss DE Florida
Trade down to take the player who we may have reached for at 15, we get Moss, heir apparent to either Porter or Haggans. Depending on what the Broncos do, this could become Quentin Moses out of Georgia
2nd Rd. (47) – Justin Blalock OG Texas
Versatile OL who could play Guard or Tackle. Depending on how the draft goes, this pick could be Ben Grubbs out of Auburn.
2nd Rd. (57) – Michael Bush RB Louisville
Bruising runner who was a Heisman candidate last year falls to us after breaking his leg at the beginning of his Senior campaign
3rd Rd. (79) – H.B. Blades LB Pittsburgh
Hometown-Hero who gets overlooked because of his size, but gets taken by us due to his great bloodlines.
4th Rd. – Jonathon Wade CB Tennessee
Project Cornerback who has all the physical tools and may flourish now that he’s focusing 100% on football.
5th Rd. – Daniel Sepulveda P Baylor
Arguably the best Punting prospect in the draft, comes in to either replace or push Gardocki.
6th Rd. – Dustin Fry C Clemson
Great run blocker of a Center, is taken to push Marvin Phillip.
7th Rd. – Paul Thompson WR Oklahoma
A converted QB who can play the Slash role in a Best-Case-Scenario. Worst-Case-Scenario, he replaces Walter Young on the PS

They all look like nice picks. It would be nice if we could trade our 15th pick to get a 2nd round pick in with it.

The Steelers more then likely will get some extra picks since they lost El, Hope and Kemo. They only really signed Ryan Clark in place of those three. So two extra picks could come the Steelers way. I would expect them to be 2 extra 4th rounders.

i like this mock, i'm sure moss will raise his stock in the combine so he might not be to much of a reach at 15, but i wouldn't mind a trade like this
blalock would be a complete steal in the middle of the second round
bush won't be there, i'm sure the ravens will grab him fast since they are letting go of lewis
i don't know who blades is
wade would be a good pick up for depth
i like the punter in the 5th, hell maybe in the 4th, not like we keep those picks anyway, and it would be great to get a franchise punter in the draft, i'm tired of these bums we have
i don't know much about the last 2 picks

I like how you think Troy. Well done. Not sure we will trade down, but you got the most out of the picks under your trade down scenerio. But like was mentioned probably a few too many of the picks probably depend on a player falling to us.

I like that draft. If it was only so easy. Let's hope for the best this year fella's, I want the new coaching staff to get off on the right foot.

After the combine and in light of how hard it is to gauge Coach Tomlins true mindset in regards to what he's looking for on day one. I'll keep it simple,...
Players that i think we would be best served by drafting in round one:
Adam Carriker DE
Laron Landry S
Patrick Willis LB
Chris houston Cb
Paul Posluzny Lb
Players that i will vomit upon the television screen if we waste a pick as high as 15 on in the 1st:
Jarvis Moss
Quentin Moses
Anthony spencer
Any of the remaining cornerbacks.

I'd personally like to see us drafting that Houston kid or Okoye in the first round if we get the chance. But, I'm no expert.

we don't need a corner in the first 2 rounds so that would be a complete waste
carriker is no longer needed here now that we signed smith to a long term deal
willis is an inside linebacker that we don't need for another 2 to 3 years
who i think we should get:
moss
spencer
timmons
that DE/OLB hybrid player or straight OLB is what we need in the first round of the draft.....especially now that porter is gone

All that said that you didnt want a LB in the first round and then you list Timmons...hmmmm
LB would be a great pick at our position this year Very Early In The
Draft....
