PITTSBURGH - The Pittsburgh Steelers signed kicker Connor Hughes to a one-year contract and plan to make him one of the team?s five players allocated to NFL Europa, the club said Tuesday.
Hughes, who played at Virginia, originally signed as a free agent with the New Orleans Saints in May, but was waived prior to the regular season.

I liked this guy in college. He was a good player. i thought he would have had a good career in the nfl. I hope he can help us in some way.

I've loved Reed as our kicker. He's hit some really, REALLY important ones in his career, here.

I have seen Reed make sum easy kicks...and I have seen him miss some easy kicks... I have seen him kick long 45 yd. FG's and hit them, and then the next chance he gets from 34 yds. he goes
wide right/left... just cant overlook his short kickoffs either..
