This is good news!.... The Steelers must be confident that there will be no lingering knee problems, or a drop in his play due to the injury. :hope:

How about back up at all 3 DL positions? He just signed a extension.

I don't know the terms, but I'm glad Casey is signed. The man is a force.

As for Hoke, he can continue to be a great backup at all D-line postions, or maybe they'd move him to DE if Kimo leaves. They're gonna work him in with Casey more this year anyway. However, Keisel the Diesel would probably be better suited for the starting DE role. It's nice to have depth on the D-Line, in any case.

Nice to see Casey signed. Was surprised to hear it was done already. Now let's get Hines signed!

Cedric Benson and Ward have the same agent. I hope something happens soon.

The numbers on Casey Hampton's deal are..... five years $6.975 million signing bonus, the third highest in team history, as part of a total package worth $22.775 million through 2009.

Good to get Casey locked in. With Hoke signed a while back, I wonder what this signing means. Will Hoke be moved to DE ? ?

Hoke isnt going anywhere..we need him as a solid backup and to spell casey. We have decent depth at the DL right now w/ Kirschke and Hoke..next year though we'll need more becuz Kimo will be a FA and may retire unless we bring him back for 1 more year.

I had a feeling this was a deal that nobody was talking about the STeelers were able to quietly get it done and surprise alot of people. When players dont talke about contracts in a contract year, that normally means its being worked on and they are content w/ where its goin.

Woo Hoo, Im glad to have casey back.. !!

i'm really glad they are keeping hampton for a long time, he's always been one of my favorites because he played for ut which is my favorite college team. and was really excited when we drafted him. i'm expecting him to have a pro bowl season.

With so many teams going 3-4 now, I'm glad we have the stud of NT in that system locked up. Knee or no knee he knows his job. It also is good Hoke is signed as well cause he could be one of those Vrabel types that we didn't really have room for that goes on to help another team.
