The Detriot Lions have traded Dre Bly to the Denver Broncos in return for RB Tatum Bell, OT George Foster and a 5th round draft pick.

I think the Lions have done pretty well from this deal, Bell is a good RB and Detriot will have a very nice 1-2 punch with Jones in the backfield, if he can recover from his foot injury.

Even if he doesn't Detriot have Jones back, Tatum will be a nice option for them.

George Foster is a nice addition - the Broncos O-line has been a consistently good unit fora number of years and Foster has started 45 out of the last 48games.

Factor in a 5th rounder and you have to say that Detriot has done a very nice job of getting rid of a lockeroom malcontent.

If the Lions can just avoid taking a WR in the first 3 rounds they'll be bucking quite a few trends this year

They might make some improvement with this.

good deal for detroit and could give denver a hell of a cb duo. i think denver is looking at taking a rb early anyways so they should come through fine.

Can you imagine him and Champ Bailey in the defensive backfield?

Daaaaaaaaamn! Good move for Denver and BIG kudo's to their FO!

Problem for Tatum is that Denver has a front line...Detroit - not so much!

if you like wheelin and dealin, movers and shakers, you gotta love the denver broncos front office:

Another issue that could be addressed is the future of Bly, whom Denver acquired in a trade last week. Bly would prefer to play at Washington, but the Broncos are unwilling to part with him for anything less than what they deem fair value.

Already, the Redskins have offered the Broncos cornerback Shawn Springs; Denver has asked for Washington's backup running back, Ladell Betts, whom the Broncos still would like even though they already have signed free-agent running back Travis Henry.

New Orleans has offered Denver a fourth-round pick for Bly; Denver quickly rejected the Saints offer as not enough. The Broncos continue to insist that, unless they get what they want in return, they will not trade Bly, who has one year remaining on his existing contract.

And last, but not least, there is the matter of McGahee, whom Buffalo has been shopping this offseason. Buffalo recently began shopping McGahee again, seeing if now that some running backs have found homes, other teams would be interested in its back.

the latest is that denver is trying to work out a mega deal to possibly acquire washingtons #6 pick so they can get a top DE in this years draft. if this is what they want they will no doubt make it happen, and how they turned bust a. lelie into gold last year, i'd say nothing is beyond them.
