PFT : Apparently several media outlets are reporting that Plummer has been shipped to the Bucs for a 4th round draft pick.

cold pizza just reported it as well. Apparently Gruden doesnt want to risk having Gradkoski start again

I'm assuming he'll be given a shot to compete for the starter's job in TB - he's made it very clear here in Broncoland that he's not willing to carry a clipboard and mentor a younger QB.

Looks like this is gonna be nullified. NFL network is reporting that Plummer is going to retire.

Yep, looks now like Plummer is flipping the bird at John Gruden: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=Aqqk01ifY2OeSwkpoAr0J3NDubYF?slug=jc-plummer030207&prov=yhoo&type=lgns

so plummers gonna quit huh? he will probably resurface with the texans. denver just wants to make sure they get compensation, otherwise if they dont release him he will just "retire".

im pretty sure he could beat out chris simms for a job. thats sad if he doesnt think he could. seems like hes forcing his way to texas.

I say he pulls a Dillon and comes back to a team.

I agree - if somebody's 1st string QB goes down in '07, and they have a crappy backup, he'll be back in the mix....

He says he'll retire rather than play for TB.......How could you just throw away 5 mil just because of ego? Amazing!....Plummer really is an idiot

I can't believe that Plummer is thinking about retiring instead of earning 5 million because he won't be starting!! I can't stand players like "Mountain Man" who have an ego bigger than the Milky Way galaxy!!

I'm glad he was playing for Denver instead of Elway when we played them in the AFC Championship Game.....
