I may have missed another, but to my knowledge, this is the first interview (by phone) with Joey since his release.

After reading his comments, I feel a little better about this. Not much, but a little.

Joey is going to get the BIG bucks this time. The tone has been set by San Diego's re-signing of Shaun Phillips, and and the Pats finalizing their deal with Adalius Thomas.

Regardless, he will be counting $$$ very, very soon.

It's a win-win situation for one of the best defensive players in Steelers history.

Porter was a good player, but I'm not sure I'd call him one of the best defensive players in Steelers history

I agree, I can think of at least four more players that were better.

Good article and I'm glad to hear that there are no hard feelings. PLEASE Joey, no Cincy or Cleveland

Totally agree...I don't think that Porter was even in the Top 5 Steeler LB's of All-Time....

1) Jack Lambert

2) Jack Ham

3) Greg LLoyd

4) Andy Russell

5) Kevin Greene

I loved as a player and he a boss attitude, but he has gone and Jimbo Harrison is more than a suitable back up.

I'm really going to miss the attitude, and great sound-bites, from one of the best! His great game vs the Colts during our SB run was unforgettable! Smashing Priscilla Manning over and over was such an enjoyable occurence, that I've replayed that game six times!

I too, will be a fan of his no matter where he goes. He will always be one of my favorite Steelers! :helmet:
