We will miss you Peezey. The game against Miami should be a great one...hopefully the fans welcome him, and hopefully he doesn't have a game like he did in our 2006 opener.

I still would've preferred the NFC, but eh...

It's better than the Bengals, Browns or Ravens...! Or even the Patriots. -_-

Thanks for the info Infamix!

Peezy got himself a hefty bonus and a new "home". I'm happy for him and wish him all the best!

Congratulations to Porter. Good luck and take care.

On that note, hopefully this story doesn't drag on in the Pittsburgh media much like the weekly updates on Bill Cowher, his wife and his daughters.

so much for all the bogus talk that joey was only out for the money and a hefty payraise. 5 yrs/$24 mil. that averages out to less than he was making as a steeler.

stay tuned: new updates are that joey will be getting more money than whats been reported in pittsburgh (trib-review)

The deal (according to Adam Schefter of NFL Network) is for $32.5 million/5 years with $20million guaranteed.

Those are similar figures to the Adalius Thomas deal - the guaranteed money is exactly the same.

It'll be interesting to see if Joey opens his big mouth in the direction of his AFCE rivals next year.

good for him...the dolphins just overpaid for a guy on the downside of his career.

now we can watch tom brady torch him twice a year...

I guess that season opener was a great advertisement for him. Best of luck Joey and thank you for staying out of Ohio!

Yeah me too...it would have been a distraction.

It would definately be so. After all, those two teams our some of our biggest rivals. Although I to would have liked to see him in the NFC, preferably San Fran, I'm just glad he went to a good team and not a suckish one like the Raiders.

Yes, thank God....

The Phins WAY overpaid. Hell, the Pats overpaid too for Thomas...at least Peezy produced for multiple years

Personally, I am happy for him. He got his big payday............damned good going Joey!

I'll still root for him as long as he poses NO danger to our Steelers.

The dolphins overpay for someone the Steelers cut.
Shows a definite difference in philosophies between the two organizations.

Good luck Peezy.

It's about the Benjamins, especially if you already have a ring (and there is nothing wrong with that) - if the Vikings or Bills offered the most money Joey would have gone there.

I can't believe it, Peezy is a fish now. A stinkin' fish! Maybe he'll get trucked by one of our RB's like he did last year against Jamal Lewis, I can see him being a flameout like Culpepper was last year.

I'd rather he play for "Team Flipper" than the Bungles, Ratbirds or Stains....

porter owes some payback to the patriots about twice a year.

i hope he takes some "iron city hot sauce"

Even I thought he would be going to the 49ers, but oh well, fate had a different plan. I hope he does well there, and I have no problem with him handing it to the Pats every few games.
