Here is a great article for those of you who dont understand how a 3-4 prospective draft choice differs from a conventional 4-3 draft choice. http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/10066679

I still would love us to get Carriker. If we are looking that D line/LB he should be getting most of the looks. IMO. Thanks for the article.

Adam Carriker ran a 4.90 at the combine....and is 6-6 296 ....he has outgrown the LB position in either a 4-3 or 3-4 set.

That being said..I wouldnt be dissapointed to see him at #15 as a DE...(and would be a good indication that we are moving to a 4-3)

Only the Steelers know their Defense direction right now. I pray Tomlin has the experience/knowledge/intelligence to make the right decision for the upcoming season. I think defense is probably the priority, and with a strong draft, we will will be strong this year and as always, in the future.

excellent article and a must read for those still wanting to learn the nuances of a 4-3 vs. 3-4 and why the steelers havent been able to churn out LB's at the rate they were able to in the past.

10 years ago, players like s. merriman, d. ware, or k. wimbley woulda been 2nd-5th round picks.

I'd love it if that were the case. I'd take either him or Jarvis Moss or best available G o C and be happy.
