Jay Glazer (http://www.kffl.com/link/14), of FOXSports.com (http://www.kffl.com/link/189), reports the Washington Redskins (http://www.kffl.com/team/37/nfl) have offered the No. 6 overall pick to the Chicago Bears (http://www.kffl.com/team/11/nfl) for LB Lance Briggs (http://www.kffl.com/player/6081/nfl) and the No. 31 overall pick, according to agent Drew Rosenhaus.

LOL. Redskins up to it again.

wow. drafting c. brown and l arrington with the 2nd and 3rd overall picks in the draft mustve really screwed up the redskins. they seem absolutely terrified of developing their own players.

seriously though i think this would benefit the redskins much more than the bears and they would be stupid not to jump on it. then again they tried getting away with paying lovie smith less than $2 million for his final year of his contract. no telling what the bears will do but i wouldnt do it. maybe for the 6th over all alone, but not swapping 1st round picks too.

wow i would do that in a heart beat... Bears should take the deal rather then the chance of briggs sitting out the whole season.

The problem with the Redskins FA choices is that, while they are big names, they don't often fit the scheme that the Redskins run.

Briggs has been awesome in the weakside LBer spot for Chicago in their Tampa2 will be as suitable to the Redskins 4-3?

Its quite a large risk to pay big bucks and a high draft pick for a guy who might not be comfortable with your scheme (I remember Briggs really making a point of saying he wouldn't be comfortable playing in a 3-4 even though he played in that scheme in college)

If the Bears take this, they will be raping the Foreskins.

Snyder's gonna give him this huge contract and then he'll get cut after this season due to the Redskins not having enough cap space.

The Redskins won't win anything until Snyder steps back and lets football people deal with the football side of the team.Snyder should just be signing the checks.

So agreed. Snyder is an idiot with a huge bank. All they do u sighn players to huge contracts and they turn out to flop.

If this is true they should hop right on this trade this is to good to be true for the bears

This is why, folks I am SO happy the Steelers do things the way they do and why the Redskins haven't done jack chit this century.

If I were the Bears' GM, I'd accept this deal in a heartbeat. You dump a locker room distraction and you get a chance to reload with a top pick.

Daniel Snyder is the owner, so it will be kind of tough for him to be fired unless Six Flags, Johnny Rockets and all his other businesses go down the shitter and he is forced to sell. Otherwise, we should get used to Snyder overpaying for mediocre players like ARE and good players who don't fit their needs like Briggs.
