ya there is a great shot at going 5-0 into the bye. I really dont like having early bye weeks but nothing we can do about it.

3 very tough games after bye week, at mile high at cincy and balitmore that is a rough stretch

i am definitly going to the jets game

That 3 game stretch jumped out at me as well - but they come right after the bye and Henry will still be on his 8 game suspension for the first Bengals game so it may be the best time for such a run of games.

For this team to get its confidence back with a new HC a hot start to the season is essential - it looks like having the softest part of the schedule to start will help that.

Good to see more 1 p.m. kickoffs; given the disappointing season last year I am surprised to see 2 Monday night & 2 Sunday night games, but I guess the Steelers are still regarded as a ratings magnet.

Another Early Bye week. What else is new?

Anything less than 3-2 to start the season is a disappointment.

The 75th Anniversary game at home on Monday Night vs. the Ratbirds really worries me. Baltimore would really love to embarrass the Steelers at Heinz two years in a row. On National TV no less. A home game on the national stage versus a strong divison rival who hates you and whooped your behinds on that same field a year before. A true test for Tomlin.

Nov.26 vs the Dolphins on Monday night is very intriguing. Joey Porter looks for revenge against the Steelers in Primetime. I expect a lot of jawing from Joey. Especially now that his fave guy Cowher is gone and some of the love has dissapated.

Not a killer schedule to start, but it might be tougher than many here suspect. SF and Buffalo are teams on the rise. CLE will always be CLE, but most game with them are knock down drag out brawls. Even the CRYHawks are bound to be pretty fired up for this one.

I'm not trying to be negative, I just don't think a loss within the first five games would spell disaster.

11-5 is a good possibility.

Arizona is an early trap game. That could be the first big game of the new regime down there and I know that the coaching staff is going to have that young team up for that game. Plus the fans down there are going to be brutal. Think old Cleveland Memorial Stadium brutal.

i just did a quick look but pittsburghs 5 primetime games is more than the ravens, bengals, patriots, and chargers (4) lol. the big market jets only have 1. broncos and colts tie the steelers with 5 apiece.

unfortunately the nfl is dead set on shoving the cowboys down out throats with 6. 7 if you count thanksgiving.

I love the schedule even though I think it is going to be a very tough one for our team to over come. But if we end up with an 11-5 or 12-4 record this year then we should be in. Our division will be very tough this year, but I think that if Big Ben and our offense can step it up a couple notches then we will be fine. Hey... Just a question ... Did the NFL get rid of the Flex scheduling on Sundays nights? It seems like they did.

Ok, just saw the disclaimer that those late season Sunday Night games are subject to change. So, the Steelers and Bungles match-up could be moved away from Sunday Night; if most of the Bengals players have not yet been granted work release.

For those of us who will be at the Rams game ...I found this article to help you figure out what it may cost for tickets if you can get them through the rams ticket office:

Rams raise average ticket price 7%
St. Louis Business Journal - February 16, 2007

Following the NFL's 7 percent salary cap rise this year, the St. Louis Rams said Friday the organization will increase the team's average ticket price by 7 percent to $68.28.

While some ticket prices will be increased, the Rams said in a release that 40 percent of the tickets will either not see price hikes or will actually be reduced.

The NFL salary cap has been increased in 2007 to $109 million from $102 million in 2006 and $85 million in 2005. The Rams' said that after the league and the players association agreed to the new collective bargaining agreement, there was a tremendous increase in labor costs in 2006.

I can watch two games:
Monday, Nov. 5 vs. Ravens 8:30 p.m. (ESPN)
Monday, Nov. 26 vs. Dolphins 8:30 p.m. (ESPN) from here on TV. It should be fun. :bouncy: I'm not too worried about the Dolphins game, but they gotta win the Ravens one, cuz it would ruin my week, if they'd lose on the only games that I can watch. :tt02:

does the 9er game worry anybody else as a game to watch out for b4 the bye

We have always been a great run stopping defense against any RB. Every game you have to worry about, you never know what will happen. But I think we can pull it off.

Anything less than 4-1 going into our bye will be a disappointment in my eyes

Just ordered my tickets for the Arizona game. I'll be there in the nose bleeds but it should still be a great time.

Looking forward to seeing the black & gold in 07. :tt02: :tt02: :tt02:

I haven't got tickets yet, but I'll be there for sure. The Arizona game will be a nice one to take my wife to since she will totally dig the chance to lay out in the warm Arizona sun while I go watch Mike Tomlin and Big Ben lay a beat down on Whiz and Grimm!!

I'll also be going to these games with my buddy who is a die hard Steeler fan like us.

Denver...someone help me! I'll be staying with friends who are lifelong Denver fans, since day one.
Seattle....I so can't wait for this one. I live near Seattle, so it will be so nice to be back "home" for that game.
St. Louis....this was a take it or leave it game for us. Sounded good since St. Louis has good BBQ. Or so I've heard.
@ Cleveland....I'll need help on this one too. I'll be sitting with my cousin and his father-in-law who is #3 on the Cleveland Brown season ticket holder list. I'm scared.

Yeah even though the tickets for this game have not been printed or distributed, I was still able to order them through stubhub. I've done this before in the past. Stubhub will send you the tickets once they get printed.

I've ordered tickets about 6 times for different steeler games from them and never had any issues.

I'll be at the December game in St. Louis with a group of Steelers fans from Chicago and southern Illinois. We'll be loud and proud.

Yep, they are. I have used them numerous times over the years for concerts, sports events, and theater.

For me, it beats standing outside the stadium an hour before the game starts hoping I don't get hemmed up by a cop or a scammer.

I'm really looking forward to the Niners game myself.

My roommate jumped on the bandwagon during the Young era and well... forgot to get off...

I guess I should give him credit... he stuck with it all these years... probably because he's too damn stubborn

I'll never hear the end of it if we blow that game...

I'm looking forward to the whole season, it's gonna be exciting and who knows how far we can go! I just found out I'm gonna be at the preseason home opener against Green Bay in August so I am all geeked up right now...
It'll be my first time at Hienz! The last game I attended was at 3 Rivers against the lions and Barry Sanders was playing. Back when I still lived in the burgh. I guess it's about time.... Maybe its a sign I should go buy a house in Greentree or Crafton!
