I believe that the worst draft was either 1991 or 1997. I'm going to say that the 2002 draft was the best.

I would have to agree with those 2 years.. even though the 1993 draft was pretty bad too. Ernie Mills was the only thing that came out of that '91 draft and he wasnt spectacular.. '02 might have been our best.. we had several starters out of that class.. with Randel El and company

Those 2 years (91 & 97) were exceptionally bad. '02 looks to be the top class of that bunch... Bring back the draft class of 74!!!

02' or 98' would be considered the best in my book.

02 is the best one you listed. Best draft till this date is still the 1974 I would say.

And 91 is the worst on your list.

1999 is quite the year. Not only did we piss away a first rounder on a receiver but we got the comedy known as Kris Brown too. Thankfully the Texas Houstons or Houston Texans or whatever they are dog-robbed him via the NFL Wealth Distribution Program.

But if you sanitize this group to say Joey Porter and Aaron Smith were/are outstanding for us is an understatement. And Tuman still has his job.

92-95 were very good years, most of those guys either started or were big contributors to the superbowl run we had there in 95 against the boys.

that's too easy.

it's the 1995 draft. the year they drafted kordell stewart and wasted the seasons to follow by allowing this WR to remain the starting QB.

Round - Pick - Overall - Name - Position - School
1 27 27 Mark Bruener TE Washington
2 28 60 Kordell Stewart QB Colorado
3 27 91 Brenden Stai OG Nebraska

Jackson was Cowher's pet project that never did anything but waste a roster spot.

I believe that the worst draft was either 1991 or 1997. I'm going to say that the 2002 draft was the best.

I totally agree. M. Vrabel was the best pick in 97 and we let him go. It was even a compensatory pick. :dang: The rest of them were horrid. :yuck:

2002 looked like the best for the last 12 years and 1996 seems the worst.

97, Chad Scott to me is a good example of why the draft was bad that year

2002 was the best in recent memory. The majority of those guys are still on the team and Another good one was 2005. Most of those guys are still on the team as well.

1997 was pretty damn bad. When the best thing to come out of that draft is Charred Scott, you know you screwed up.
