Nicholas Cotsonika, of the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/157">Detroit Free Press, reports the Denver Broncos (http://www.kffl.com/team/15/nfl) have made two offers to the Detroit Lions (http://www.kffl.com/team/16/nfl) involving the the second overall pick, according to the Denver Post (http://www.kffl.com/link/184). The first offer included LB Al Wilson (http://www.kffl.com/player/589/nfl) and the Broncos' first-round pick. The second offer involved the Broncos' first-, second- and third-round picks in the 2007 NFL Draft (http://www.kffl.com/link/159), as well as their first-round pick in the 2008 NFL Draft (http://www.kffl.com/link/159)

al wilson was released today. so much for the 1st offer. the 2nd offer is one detroit really has to look at. reports are 6 teams have actively inquired about their pick, so the value of it is going to continue to grow.

i wonder who denver wants. if its calvin johnson, that would be great to see the raiders draft him just to piss the broncos off. (of course, im sure this deal hinges on who is available after the 1st pick.

Yep, there's a reason the Lions usually pick in the top 5 every year....

according to the draft pick value chart, denver isnt offering quite enough-

this assumes denvers next year #1 pick will be the 15th over all. chances are they wont be drafting that high.

its very expensive to move into the top 3 picks. if denver really wants c. johnson to replace rod smith, they better be willing to pay.

thats assuming the stains don't take him.IF denver treades up to # 2 and assuming the raiders draft j. russell, the broncos would have their choice of peterson or johnson

(hehehe "peters'on or johnson)

(hehehe "peters'on or johnson) i understand that...but why the 2nd pick? unless they want the guy they feel detroit or clevland is targetting. its safe to say they don't want quinn or russell. the talking heads aren't linking johnson with detroit or clevland. so if johnson is the target, and most have him going at 4...why not try to get 3? the same would go for peterson..why not deal with the browns? could they possibly want thomas, or gaines adams?

the lions are in position to maximize the value of this pick more than any i can remember.

latest rumor is the broncos trading with the texans to move up to 10 and take carriker. this could go either way. its denvers job to try and get the most value with their picks.

ohhhh , now i get it....your saying while i'm making a deal with clevland to get johnson ,someone may try and lowball me by going to detroit for a deal...:dang: i wasn't thinking about multiple teams trying to move up and get him.
