Steelers release three rookie free agents

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

The Steelers today released three rookie free agents from their roster.

Wide receiver Eric Deslauriers, running back Paul Mosley and fullback Aaron Robbins were released from the team.

Deslauriers was signed by the Steelers as a rookie free agent out of Eastern Michigan, Mosley out of Baylor and Robbins from Wyoming.

The Steelers are scheduled to report to training camp at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe on July 23.

:dang: and there was so much hope for aaron robbins to push the venerable john kuhn for a roster spot on the practice squad. :rolleyes:

i dont even know why they brought him in. NOBODY replaces big bad john! NOBODY!

Yeah.. I thought also that Paul Mosely was gonna be a little longer with us also the way they talked about him.. Oh well...Kuhn is still around and kicking;;;;;;

Too much talent on the team for these dudes, I believe G. Russell and Boyd have a decent chance to make it at least on practice squad.

As someone who follows the college game, Mosley and Deslauriers certainly are not "WHOs." But for whatever reason Russell has stuck. . . just mayyybe he's running with this "second chance" and whipping himself back into prime shape :chicken:

I think if russell got back into shape he would be a nice addition to the team.

i thought we would keep deslauriers condsidering he is 6`4 ben would have another big guy to throw to. figured mosley wouldnt be around for a while since we have four other RB that were better than him. and robbins why did we need him anyways we have kreider and maybe kuhn unless kuhn plays at RB but he could play FB also.
