Once again, I come to my SF family and ask for prayers for my daughter, Angie.

She called me on Friday afternoon and told me that she had been in to see her gynecologist last week for her annual exam. Her doctor's nurse called her that afternoon to tell her that she had an abnormal PAP test and that it was showing HSIL, which boils down to:

HSIL stands for high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion. High-grade means the cells are very different from normal cells. These cells are usually precancerous and are more likely to lead to cervical cancer. Your doctor will probably perform a colposcopy to determine how at risk you are for cancer.

The nurse told her that the doc wanted her in ASAP for a biopsy. She wanted to check her work schedule for this week and is going to call tomorrow morning to make the appointment. Of course I want to go with her for support, as she has done for me many times.

Angie is only 27 years old and a beautiful young woman with a wonderful life ahead of her. I know that this diagnosis doesn't mean that she definitely has cancer, but my heart just sunk after hearing this and I cried my heart out after I got off the phone with her. I know I shouldn't feel guilty, but I do because I've had cancer twice, though not any type of gynecological cancer. Most parents want to give their children the moon, sun and stars and though I have tried to do that with both of my kids, what do I give my daughter - a cancer gene. :dang::crying01:

Please pray for my "little girl" that this biopsy is negative or in the alternative, shows something that can be "fixed". I would so appreciate it. Thank you all.

You know that you and yours have my prayers HTG. Be at peace within your heart (as difficult as that may be right now ),....with the knowledge that the Lord cannot fail.
And this faith is all that he requires of you to remove any obstacles that we simply don't have the power to.

so sorry to hear this. first of all, thoughts and prayers to your daughter. 2nd of all, to heal your feeling of guilt. while it is a natural feeling, it is nothing you did and not your fault. it is your job as a mother to want to protect your children from everything, but dont beat yourself up whe you cant protect them from "the world". i know you will remain strong and confident, which is the best thing you can do.

3rd of all, i dont know much about cervical cancer, but our state has just become the 2nd to pass a bill that has all 6th grade girls get a vaccine that has been shown to prevent cervical cancer. i dont know all the details, but if it can prevent stuff like this down the road, i encourage everyone to look into it and possibly contact their state representatives.

women are half of our population and its always good to see our tax dollars well spent. as a father of a little girl i couldnt do anything else but to support this.

My goodness. I hope her exam goes well and I will have her in my thoughts until I hear that great news that everything has turned out alright.

Thank goodness she was due for her checkup, hopefully they can nip this thing in the bud early.

Rest well, Marianne, modern medicine is amazing. I'm sure she is in great hands both here on earth and up above.

Heavenly Father, this morning I lift of Angie to you. That you would bring your Peace and Comfort to sorround her. That she would be calm during this storm. And Heavenly Father I ask that you allow the heam of your garment to brush her father and that through her faith and belief in YOU that she would be healed.

We know of your miraculous healings that are performed in the bible. We hear of the miracles that happen in your name every day. But today Lord, we ask that you miraculously touch this young lady, Angie, that the abnormal cells will be removed from her body and that the doctors would only find healthy cells. But more so Father that Angie would be able to speak boldly of your healing powers and astonish the doctors - laying the foundation that you are a true physician.

I also ask for your Peace and Comfort for Marianne that she will be an example for her daughter, trusting wholely in you!!

In Jesus' name - AMEN!

You know that Angie is in my prayers, HTG, and I hope that all goes well for her. It sucks that she has to go through this at such a young age.

OH HTG!!!! MY heart goes out to you my friend...please take some comfort in knowing that all of us will lift your family up and pray for God's will to be done. I have taken the time to pray for you just now and will continue to do so until you tell us otherwise!

Remember: The axehead DID float...The red sea DID part...and God is still on His throne.
